Automation Engineer

"A leading engineering and manufacturing organization in the textile and heavy machinery sector is seeking a talented Automation Engineer to support the development and implementation of advanced automation systems for industrial machines. The role involves designing, programming, testing, and supporting automation solutions to improve machine performance, reliability, and efficiency.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing automation logic and integrating PLC, HMI, drives, and SCADA systems into machinery operations. The role includes programming, debugging, and optimizing automation processes to ensure seamless machine functionality and high productivity.

The Automation Engineer will also work closely with design, production, and service teams to understand system requirements and deliver customer-specific automation solutions. Responsibilities include preparing electrical drawings using engineering design software, supporting bill of material preparation, and ensuring that automation systems meet performance and quality standards.

In addition, the candidate will participate in machine testing on the shop floor, identify quality or performance issues, and implement corrective measures to eliminate defects. The role requires providing technical assistance and online support to customers during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of machines.

The position also involves occasional travel within India and internationally to support project installations, system upgrades, and technical support activities.
