PHP Backend Developer - ( CodeIgniter With 2+ Years Experience )

Job description About the Role We are looking for a skilled PHP CodeIgniter Full-Stack Developer with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our engineering team. In this role, you will drive the development of scalable web applications, managing the full lifecycle from database design to frontend integration.

You will be responsible for building robust REST APIs, optimizing high-volume MySQL databases, and performing data analysis using Google BigQuery. Uniquely, this role also involves Prompt Engineering, requiring you to leverage AI tools to enhance development workflows or product features.

Key Responsibilities 1. Full-Stack Development

Develop and maintain dynamic web applications using PHP (CodeIgniter framework) following MVC architecture standards.

Implement responsive frontend features using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, ensuring cross-browser compatibility.

Collaborate with design teams to translate UI/UX wireframes into high-quality code.

2. Database & Data Management

Design, structure, and optimize MySQL databases for performance and scalability.

Write complex SQL queries and handle data integration.

Manage data warehousing and perform advanced data analysis/reporting using Google BigQuery.

Implement Redis for caching to improve application performance.

3. API Development & Integration

Design and develop secure REST APIs for internal and external use.

Integrate third-party data providers and APIs into core applications.

Test and debug APIs using Postman.

4. Performance, Security & DevOps

Monitor application performance using New Relic; optimize code and queries for speed.

Implement security best practices to patch vulnerabilities and secure user data.

Manage deployment and server configurations (Apache/Nginx)

Maintain code quality through Git version control (GitHub) and documentation.

5. Innovation & AI

Utilize Prompt Engineering techniques to optimize workflows or integrate AI-driven features into the application.

Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: 2+ years of proven experience in PHP development, specifically with the CodeIgniter framework.

Database Mastery: Strong proficiency in MySQL (schema design, query optimization) and Google BigQuery (data querying & reporting).

Frontend Tech: Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap with responsive design principles.

API Knowledge: Hands-on experience creating and consuming RESTful APIs.

Tools: Proficiency with Git/GitHub, VS Code, Postman, BigQuery and phpMyAdmin

Server Side: Basic knowledge of server management (Apache/Nginx) and cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform).

Modern Tech: Experience with Redis for caching and Prompt Engineering for AI integration.
