Purchase Engineer

The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and developing reliable vendors for mechanical, machined, and fabricated components. The role involves obtaining quotations from suppliers, comparing pricing, and performing cost analysis to ensure competitive and cost-effective procurement decisions.

The Purchase Engineer will negotiate pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules with vendors while maintaining long-term professional relationships. The position requires ensuring timely procurement of materials according to production schedules and maintaining smooth coordination with production, design, quality assurance, and stores departments.

The candidate should be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical specifications in order to procure accurate components and materials. Responsibilities also include preparing purchase orders, tracking order deliveries, and resolving material-related issues with internal teams and suppliers.
