You will own the SMB Ads web strategy and experimentation roadmap, combining customer insight, analytical rigor, and product judgment to grow qualified discovery and improve conversion. Your scope spans web experiences, organic search, generative engine optimization (GEO), and the journey from first visit through signup and activation. You will work closely with Product, Design, Ads Engineering, Content, and Data Science to turn opportunities into shipped experiences, operating with the speed and ownership of a startup. In This Role, You Will Own the SMB Ads web strategy and roadmap to grow qualified discovery, signup, and advertiser activation. Grow organic discovery through search, content, and GEO. Test new ways to help businesses find and evaluate OpenAI’s advertising offering. Analyze journeys, funnels, and cohorts to identify conversion barriers and prioritize high-impact improvements. Run experiments across landing pages, messaging, navigation, personalization, offers, and conversion flows. Use results to guide the roadmap. Improve the journey from website visit to signup, onboarding, and first campaign with Product and Ads Engineering. Define instrumentation, test design, attribution, and reporting with Data Science and marketing systems teams to measure incremental activation and advertiser value. Launch useful web experiences with Content, Product Marketing, Design, Engineering, and specialist agencies. Evaluate capabilities such as personalization, chat, and experimentation tools. Connect landing experiences to in-product, referral, and cross-sell acquisition programs. Coordinate onboarding and engagement with Lifecycle Marketing. Use AI to accelerate research, prototyping, content, analysis, and experimentation. Scale successful tests and communicate results clearly. You Might Thrive in This Role If You Bring 4–7 years of experience in growth marketing, web strategy, organic acquisition, conversion optimization, or product growth, with measurable acquisition, activation, or revenue impact. Apply strong analytical judgment across funnels, cohorts, customer behavior, and incremental impact to prioritize growth opportunities. Demonstrate ownership of web experiences and experimentation programs that improve conversion from discovery to activation. Connect SEO, content-led discovery, and GEO with customer insight, web strategy, and product judgment. Translate business opportunities into clear roadmaps and launched experiences with Product, Design, Engineering, Data Science, and Marketing. Combine strategic thinking with hands-on growth execution. Relevant backgrounds include scaled technology businesses, startups, or consulting followed by operating experience in startup growth. Understand SMB customers and bring experience in self-serve products, advertising, SaaS, marketplaces, fintech, commerce, or other high-volume digital businesses. Experience growing qualified traffic through SEO, content, and generative engine optimization (GEO). About the Role In this role, you will build and run the creative and advertising operations system that powers OpenAI’s paid marketing programs.
