Recruiters skim. The first pass over a resume takes seconds, and it lands in four places: your name and target title, your most recent job, the first bullet or two, and your education. If those spots don't answer “can this person do the job?”, the rest rarely gets read.

Before a person sees it, your resume usually passes through an applicant tracking system. The ATS doesn't reject you on its own — it decides where you appear when a recruiter searches for “Power BI”, “Tally” or “ICU nurse”. So the exact words matter as much as the design, which is why Jobiba checks readability and job match separately.

The single biggest upgrade most people can make is turning duties into results. “Responsible for customer complaints” becomes “Resolved 30+ escalated complaints a week and kept key accounts renewing.” Same job, completely different impression — as long as every number is genuinely yours.

Keep it to one page if you have under eight to ten years of experience, two at most after that. Use one master resume, then tailor the headline, summary and top bullets for each job.
