Is Jobiba legit? How Jobiba keeps job listings genuine

Jobiba is a job search site run by Jobiba AI Labs (Thana, Udaipur district, Rajasthan, India) and online since 2016. Jobs are read from employer career sites that Jobiba staff add, or posted by employer accounts; career-site jobs are checked automatically before they go live and retired when the source stops listing them. No person reviews every employer or every job posted directly by an employer account, so check the red flags below and report anything suspicious.

What Jobiba asks for, and never asks for

Jobiba never asks job seekers for an ID number, bank or card details or money, and never asks you to pass on a sign-in code. This applies in every country Jobiba lists jobs for.

What sign-up asks for

Candidates sign up with Google or LinkedIn, or with a full name, an email address and a password. The phone tab on the sign-in form asks only for a mobile number and a one-time code.

Employers give a company name, a work email address and a password; a phone number, website, industry and company size are optional.

After sign-up, a candidate profile can hold details you choose to add, such as a phone number, address, date of birth, gender, marital status, current and expected pay, and your resume. None of them is required to search or apply.

What Jobiba never asks job seekers for

  • Aadhaar, PAN, Social Security, National Insurance, passport or any other ID number
  • bank account, card or UPI details
  • a one-time code over the phone, by chat or by email
  • any payment to register, apply or get a job

A sign-in code is only ever typed into the Jobiba sign-in page. Anyone who asks you to read one out is not Jobiba.

A resume is the file you upload, so remove ID numbers and bank details from it before you upload or send it.

Where Jobiba's jobs come from

Jobiba lists jobs from two kinds of source.

  • Employer career sites. Jobiba reads the public job boards that employers publish through Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Personio, Teamtailor, Recruitee and Pinpoint, and some other career pages and feeds. Only Jobiba admins can add one of these sources.
  • Employer accounts. Employers can post a job on their dashboard, upload a CSV, use the API or post through Jobiba's AI-assistant connector, or send an XML or JSON feed. These jobs go live without a person reviewing them first.

robots.txt comes first. Before each scheduled fetch of a career-site feed, Jobiba reads that site's robots.txt. If the site disallows Jobiba, the feed is paused and Jobiba does not retry or work around the refusal. Fetches to one host are at least 2 seconds apart, and a feed is paused after 5 consecutive errors.

Apply uses the application link stored with the job. For career-site jobs, that is the link the career site publishes. A job posted without an external link uses Jobiba's own application form.

What is checked before a job goes live

The checks are automatic. They lower the chance of a bad listing; they cannot remove it.

Jobs read from career sites and employer feeds

  • A record with no usable title is skipped.
  • A record that looks like something other than a job is rejected: product or service ads, local-service ads, property listings, adult content, articles, phone-number lead ads and promotional merchandise.
  • An employer-feed job that asks applicants to pay, or for an OTP, CVV, card number or bank password, is rejected at import.

Jobs from every source

  • A job whose text contains that payment or banking-credential language is kept out of Jobiba search results, the sitemap and Google job markup, and its page is marked noindex.
  • An incomplete job (a description under 160 characters, only placeholder text, or no country) stays on Jobiba, but its page is marked noindex and it is left out of the sitemap.
  • Pay that fails the currency or ceiling checks is corrected from the description or dropped.

Staying live and expiry

  • A job has a 30-day window that renews each time its source lists it again.
  • For sources that return their whole list, a job missing from 3 successful complete fetches in a row is closed.
  • A job from a partner feed goes stale after 45 days without a refresh.
  • A direct post with no expiry date leaves search 90 days after it was posted.

The full list, with the limits of each check, is on How we verify jobs.

Does Jobiba verify employers?

Not every one.

  • An employer account needs a company name and an email address on a company's own domain: Jobiba's server refuses personal email providers such as Gmail, Yahoo or Outlook. The owner must open a link sent to that address before the account can post jobs, message candidates or search talent. Jobiba does not confirm that the domain belongs to the named company, and it does not check company documents.
  • A direct post goes live at once, within the plan's job limit, and no person reviews it first.
  • "Verified" on a company page means a Jobiba admin approved that company's claim to its profile.
  • Missing company details (logo, website, public hiring email) are filled in from the company's own website, which Jobiba matches by domain and uses only if its page names the company, unless the company or an administrator supplied the website or strong evidence repeats across its job postings. A hiring email on a company page must be a careers, HR or general inbox on the company's own domain, never free-mail. This automatic fill-in skips verified profiles.
  • Those company-page rules do not cover the job page: its "Email hiring team" button uses the contact address stored with that job.

Scam red flags

  • Any fee, stop. A registration, training, interview or deposit fee is a red flag. Jobiba has no paid plan for job seekers.
  • Never share an OTP, CVV, card number or bank password with a recruiter.
  • Jobiba's checks also look for these signals in a job's text: WhatsApp or Telegram contact, gift cards, crypto, UPI or wire transfers, and a job offered instantly or with no interview needed.
  • Check the email domain. A recruiter's address should be on the company's own domain, not free-mail and not a look-alike of the company name.
  • Check the employer's own careers page. Career-site jobs on Jobiba carry the application link that the career site publishes, so open the company's website yourself and find the same role.

Report a job, and what happens next

  • On any job page, use Report this job if you are signed in, or email info@jobiba.com with the job URL (anyone can do this).
  • Reasons: expired, possible scam, misleading, wrong location, duplicate or other. One report per person per job per 24 hours.
  • Reports go to a queue for Jobiba staff, ordered by how many different people reported the job. A report does not remove a job by itself; staff decide. Jobiba cannot promise how quickly a report is reviewed.

In the 30 days to , people sent 0 job reports; staff closed 0 of them (resolved or dismissed).

  • If you paid or shared bank details, contact your bank now and report it to your country's police or cyber-crime authority.

Frequently asked questions

Is Jobiba legit?

Jobiba is run by Jobiba AI Labs (Thana, Udaipur district, Rajasthan, India) and has been online since 2016. Its jobs come from employer career sites that Jobiba staff add and from employer accounts. Career-site jobs are checked automatically and retired when the source stops listing them. Jobiba does not review every employer by hand, so use the red flags on this page and report anything suspicious.

Is Jobiba safe to use?

Jobiba has no paid plan for job seekers. A job whose text asks applicants to pay, or to share banking details, is kept out of Jobiba search. Apply through the employer's own application page and report anything suspicious.

Does Jobiba verify employers?

Not every one. An employer account needs a company name and an email address on a company's own domain (personal providers such as Gmail are refused), and the owner must confirm that address before posting. Jobs posted that way go live without a person reviewing them first, and Jobiba does not confirm that the domain belongs to the named company. A Verified mark on a company page means a Jobiba admin approved that company's claim to its profile. Jobs read from employer career sites come from sources that only Jobiba admins add.

Does Jobiba charge job seekers?

No. Paid plans are for employers only. A job that asks you to pay to apply is a red flag; report it.

Does Jobiba ask for Aadhaar, PAN or bank details?

No. Jobiba never asks job seekers for Aadhaar, PAN, Social Security, National Insurance, passport or any other ID number; bank account, card or UPI details; a one-time code over the phone, by chat or by email; or any payment to register, apply or get a job. A sign-in code is only ever typed into the Jobiba sign-in page. Anyone who asks you to read one out is not Jobiba. If a recruiter asks for any of these, stop and report the job.

What does Jobiba ask for when you sign up?

Candidates sign up with Google or LinkedIn, or with a full name, an email address and a password. The phone tab on the sign-in form asks only for a mobile number and a one-time code. Employers give a company name, a work email address and a password; a phone number, website, industry and company size are optional. After sign-up, a candidate profile can hold details you choose to add, such as a phone number, address, date of birth, gender, marital status, current and expected pay, and your resume. None of them is required to search or apply.

How do I delete my Jobiba account or download my data?

Signed-in job seekers can download a copy of their data and delete their account in Account settings. Employers ask for deletion in Account settings or by email to info@jobiba.com. Privacy requests from any country can go to Bhagwati Suthar, Jobiba's Privacy and Grievance Officer, at bhagwati@jobiba.com.

How do I report a fake job?

On the job page, use Report this job if you are signed in, or email info@jobiba.com with the job URL. Reports go to a queue for Jobiba staff, who decide what happens to the job; a report alone does not remove it. If you paid or shared bank details, contact your bank and your country's police or cyber-crime authority right away.

Was Jobiba a classifieds site?

Yes. It started in 2016 as a classifieds site and is now a job marketplace. Old classified-ad pages now answer with the HTTP status 410 Gone.
