While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. The Area Sales Manager has the responsibility and authority to sell all Medtronic Surgical Technologies ENT products to hospitals, physicians and other approved customers within the geographical limits of their territory to attain established quotas and sales objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan, strategize and execute face-to-face sales calls with physicians, nurses and other key purchase influencers to demonstrate, in-service and sell Medtronic ENT capital and disposable products to relevant hospital departments, outpatient surgery centers and doctors’ offices
- Monitor and report competitive activity within the territory to management
- Provide support and service to clinical personnel as it relates to the Products in a surgical environment
- Maintain flexible schedule to attend meetings and courses inside and outside of assigned territory, possibly outside of normal business hours which may include weekends
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8+ years OR Associate degree and 6+ years OR Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience in sales, clinical, or related roles within medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences
- Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong track record in ENT, Capital or Medical Device sales
- Working knowledge of ENT products, therapies and/or customers
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.
