Hiring plan
Recruitment Funnel Calculator
Start with the hires you actually need. Model application→screen→interview→offer→hire conversion, reverse-solve top-of-funnel volume and compare the plan with your live Jobiba requirement pipeline.

Scenario, not diagnosis
Entered lowest conversion: Application → screen at 30%
If that entered rate improved by 10 percentage points to 40%, the same 5 hire target would require 96 top-of-funnel candidates. A low rate does not prove the cause; inspect role quality, sourcing, screening, interview and offer evidence before changing process.
Sourcing scenario
31,750
Entered currency units for the required top-of-funnel volume. Current-volume scenario: 50,000.
Reverse before sourcing
A hiring target is actionable only after you translate stage conversion into screens, interviews, offers and top-of-funnel volume.
Keep cohorts comparable
Do not mix applications from one quarter with hires from another or combine unrelated role families and call the rate a process benchmark.
A low rate is evidence, not cause
Conversion can move because of targeting, job requirements, screening, scheduling, compensation, candidate choice or reporting definitions. Investigate before prescribing.
Connected employer loop
Compare the plan with current requirement health.
Jobiba keeps planning assumptions separate from live ATS facts. The dashboard shows current application-stage counts and older untouched applicants; the planner shows what a future funnel would need under your entered conversion assumptions.
Recruitment funnel FAQs
How do you calculate recruitment funnel conversion?
For each transition, divide candidates reaching the next stage by candidates entering the prior stage and multiply by 100. Overall application-to-hire conversion is the product of the stage conversion fractions.
How many applications do I need per hire?
Divide the hires you need by your overall funnel conversion. Jobiba then rounds the required top-of-funnel volume upward and works forward through screens, interviews and offers.
What is the weakest stage?
This planner calls the lowest conversion rate you entered the weakest entered rate. That is a mathematical observation, not a diagnosis of recruiter, candidate or hiring-manager performance.
Should I use industry benchmarks?
Use external benchmarks only as context. Role family, seniority, geography, sourcing mix and hiring model change conversion sharply. Your own consistent, like-for-like cohorts are safer for planning.
Can Jobiba use my live ATS funnel?
The employer dashboard already shows the current ATS stage distribution. Historical stage conversion requires reliable transition timestamps, so Jobiba does not manufacture conversion history from current-status records.
