Requisition Job Description As an Rx Automation Mechanic, you will be responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, change control, testing, and process improvement of automated prescription dispensing and fulfillment systems. Additionally, you will assist in the support and training of pharmacy staff and operators to meet production goals as well as quality expectations. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain assigned automated pharmacy dispensing equipment which include electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, control (PLC), robotic, barcode, label printing, computer, networking, and conveyor systems. Timely completion and work order documentation of all corrective and preventative maintenance tasks and materials using CMMS software. Maintain parts inventories and correspond with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability of necessary components. Oversee vendor support of facility air compressors and generators. Repair/refurbish heat presses and equipment within a respective service area. Support pharmacy automation remotely through a rotating on-call schedule. Notify the Manager of any concerns regarding major repairs needed or any additional equipment needed to support the pharmacy automation equipment, or to maintain a clean and safe work area for all employees.
