Job Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join the FGA Developer Tooling team and help evolve our end to end developer experience across both OSS and SaaS.

Our guiding principle is One developer experience, many deployment models.
As a Senior Engineer, you will take ownership of significant portions of the SDK and tooling ecosystem, ensure high quality implementations across languages, and contribute to a consistent and reliable developer experience.
Responsibilities:

Maintain and enhance existing SDKs for FGA in Go, JavaScript, .NET, Python, and Java, leveraging our SDK generator framework.
-
Customize and refine SDK templates and wrappers to ensure consistency across languages and support configuration overrides such as store ID, authorization model ID, headers, and parallelization limits.
-
Implement and improve core SDK features including client credentials authentication flows, robust error mapping, retry logic with jitter, and rate limiting safeguards.
-
Implement advanced capabilities such as BatchCheck, ListRelations, and non transactional write operations with appropriate parallelization and performance considerations.
-
Contribute to the SDK generator tooling, templates, and supporting build workflows using Docker and related tooling.
-
Develop comprehensive tests for all exposed methods, including proper mocking of external requests.
-
Write and maintain clear developer focused documentation, guides, and examples.
-
Optimize and maintain CI workflows using GitHub Actions for building, testing, and releasing SDK clients.

Minimize external dependencies within SDKs, introducing new dependencies only when clearly justified.
-
Collaborate closely with FGA Core and other internal teams to ensure API changes are reflected cleanly and consistently across SDKs.
-
Participate actively in open source development, review community pull requests, and help contributors reach a mergeable state.
-
Participate in code reviews and post delivery validation to ensure high quality, secure SDK releases.
Requirements:
-
5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, ideally with experience building SDKs, libraries, or developer tooling.
-
Proficiency in at least one, and ideally multiple, of the following: Go, JavaScript or TypeScript, C# .NET, Python, or Java.
-
Solid understanding of SDK development principles, API ergonomics, and cross language design considerations.
-
Experience working with code generation tools such as OpenAPI Generator and templating systems.
-
Experience implementing authentication flows, retry logic, error handling, and managing client side parallelization.
-
Experience setting up and maintaining GitHub Actions and release workflows.
-
Strong testing practices including mocking external services and validating client behavior.
-
Good understanding of version control systems and familiarity with PR based development workflows.
-
Experience working in open source projects is a plus.
-

Postman is helping developers and professionals across the globe build the API-first world by simplifying each step of the API lifecycle and streamlining collaboration—enabling users to create better APIs, faster. The company is headquartered in San Francisco and has offices in Boston, New York, Austin, Tokyo, London, and Bangalore - where Postman was founded. The Opportunity Postman is now at one of the most consequential inflection points in its history. Enterprises are rapidly shifting from human-driven API workflows to multi-agent systems — where AI agents autonomously discover, call, and collaborate with APIs, tools, CLIs, and each other. Postman already owns the API design, governance, and lifecycle layer for the enterprise; the next frontier is owning the runtime layer for how agents actually interact with all of it . Where Postman today is the API platform for human-first integration , we are building Postman into the agent interface fabric for AI-first integration . That transformation starts with Fabric Gateway — a brand new product, being built from scratch, that will serve as the policy-driven control plane governing how agents connect to APIs, services, and other agents at scale. This is a rare 0-to-1 opportunity inside a company with 40+ million developers already in the ecosystem. About the Team The Fabric Gateway team is building the API gateway for the AI era — one of Postman's most ambitious greenfield infrastructure products. We're a small, high-ownership team wo

The Opportunity We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help us reinvent Postman's Notifications Platform for the next generation of AI-powered, agent-driven experiences. As Postman evolves to support agents and autonomous workflows, notifications become much more than simple alerts. They need to be contextual, intelligent, reliable, and deeply integrated into how users interact with the platform. You'll play a key role in building the foundation that makes that possible. This isn't a role focused on maintaining an existing system. It's an opportunity to rethink and rebuild a critical platform from the ground up that will power notification experiences across Postman for years to come.
