At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way for our clients, and in this role, you will be their trusted advocate—ensuring healthcare facilities are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance. You will act as the central point of communication, translating intricate technical details into clear, strategic actions for all project stakeholders.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Manage overall project performance, including scope, schedule, and budget, to ensure successful delivery against key milestones.

  • Provide expert technical oversight for mechanical (HVAC, medical gas, plumbing) and electrical (power distribution, emergency power) infrastructure systems.

  • Review design documentation, technical submittals, and shop drawings to confirm compliance with healthcare facility requirements and project specifications.

  • Monitor construction progress on-site, verifying that installations meet quality standards and design intent.

  • Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks to prevent delays and budget overruns.

  • Lead project meetings, delivering clear and concise progress reports to executive stakeholders and clinical staff.

  • Negotiate with contractors and vendors to protect the owner's interests and achieve favorable outcomes.

Required qualifications:

  • Substantial experience managing healthcare facility projects, preferably from an owner’s representative or similar consultative perspective.

  • A strong technical background in mechanical systems (HVAC, medical gas, plumbing) and/or electrical systems (power distribution, emergency power, lighting, low-voltage).

  • Proven success in a client-facing role, with the ability to lead meetings, present to stakeholders, and build strong professional relationships.

  • Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex technical issues into actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences.

  • A thorough understanding of the unique operational requirements of healthcare environments, including infection control, critical systems redundancy, and regulatory standards.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining a keen focus on quality and client satisfaction.

Preferred qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

  • Direct experience with mission-critical infrastructure upgrades, particularly those requiring phased construction in occupied healthcare facilities.

  • Professional certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or LEED credentials.

  • In-depth familiarity with The Joint Commission standards, FGI Guidelines, NFPA codes, and other healthcare-specific regulations.

  • Knowledge of testing and commissioning processes for complex healthcare mechanical and electrical systems.
