About the Team The OpenAI Robotics team is focused on unlocking general-purpose robotics and pushing towards AGI-level intelligence in dynamic, real-world settings. Working across the entire model stack, we integrate cutting-edge hardware and software to explore a broad range of robotic form factors. We strive to seamlessly blend high-level AI capabilities with the constraints of physical systems to improve peoples’ lives. About the Role OpenAI Robotics depends on high-quality real-world robot data from a large, live operational environment. That environment has many deployed workcells, changing configurations, and little tolerance for downtime. We are seeking a Field Engineer to help keep that environment running well. You will own the day-to-day technical health of robotic workcells used in ongoing data acquisition operations, diagnose and resolve failures across hardware and software, and build the practical tools, documentation, and support workflows that make operators and technicians more effective. The work is close to the floor, close to the failure modes, and close to the research impact. This role sits at the intersection of software, robotics hardware, and live operations. The best people in it are practical, technically sharp, calm under pressure, and motivated by making real systems work reliably at scale. This role will be based in San Francisco, CA 5 days per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: Serve as an engineering owner for keeping a fleet of robotic workcells online in daily operation. Diagnose, fix, mitigate, or escalate issues spanning mechanics, electronics, controls, software interfaces, logs, and configuration. Partner closely with technicians, operators, and engineering teams to improve scalable fleet support processes. Build or spec lightweight hardware and software tools that improve monitoring, diagnostics, recovery, and handoffs. Create documentation, SOPs, and diagnostic playbooks that turn en
About the Team OpenAI's Research Data Team exists to accelerate the evaluation, safety and capabilities of our models and products. Made up of technical operators and software engineers, we design the methods in which we acquire and create data. About the Role As a Research Program Manager (RPM), Data Acquisition, you will partner with research, engineering, and operations to design and implement pragmatic solutions for acquiring data. You will be a key interface between our research roadmap and external data offerings. This role is based in our San Francisco HQ and will be part of a team of RPMs pushing the frontier of data acquisition. In this role, you will: Partner deeply with research: Work with researchers to scope data needs, define success criteria, and translate priorities into clear execution plans. Shape the data acquisition pipeline: Identify, evaluate, and advance high impact data opportunities - balancing research value, feasibility, quality, and responsible execution. Unblock yourself: Move work forward even when the path is unclear — using technical judgement, creative problem solving, and scrappy execution to make progress while longer-term solutions are still forming. Build lightweight systems and visibility: Use SQL, Python, dashboards, and simple tooling to track performance, quality, and blockers. Drive technical roadmaps: Collaborate with engineers to enhance data platforms, resolve blockers, and ensure security best practices such as access management. Scale your impact: Equip vendors and internal teams with the context, standards, and operating rhythms needed to focus on the most important problems. You’ll thrive in this role if you: Are proficient in SQL and Python for analysing datasets, querying databases, building dashboards, and generating actionable insights. Are comfortable using APIs, automation, and AI tools such as Codex to accelerate workflows, remove manual overhead, and upskill quickly in unfamiliar technical areas.Experience sou

What you’ll do Act as the in-house electrical lead for Midjourney Medical: own the electrical architecture of the scanner and the technical direction for all board-level design. Own complex board design end-to-end: architecture, schematic capture, layout (high-speed digital, analog/mixed-signal, power), DFM/DFT, fabrication and assembly vendor management, bring-up, and revision control. Write firmware for embedded targets (MCU/SoC): drivers, real-time control loops, safety-relevant logic, bootloaders, and field update paths. Audit and update HDL (FPGA) code for high-throughput data acquisition, timing/synchronization, triggering, and pre-processing of ultrasound and sensor data streams. Define electrical interfaces and data contracts with software, recon/ML and mechanical teams: timing budgets, clocking/sync, signal integrity, connectors/harnessing, and failure modes. Establish electrical engineering rigor: design reviews, schematic/layout review checklists, bring-up procedures, test fixtures, and documentation suitable for a regulated medical device program (DHF, traceability, change control). Mentor and grow the electrical function; select and manage external design partners where leverage is high. What we’re looking for Deep experience designing complex boards from blank page to stable revision, including high-speed digital and analog/mixed-signal domains. Strong schematic and layout skills (Altium/KiCad or equivalent) with real signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, and EMI/EMC instincts. Track record of owning bring-up and debug on real hardware: scopes, logic analyzers, and disciplined root-cause analysis. Technical leadership: clear trade-offs, strong written documentation, and the ability to set
We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Washington D.C., London and Amsterdam. The Data Governance team makes sure Plaid handles consumer and customer data responsibly — and can prove it. Our mission is to enforce Plaid's privacy commitments and regulatory obligations in the systems themselves rather than in policy documents: we build the platform and controls that govern how data flows through Plaid — where it lives, who can use it, for what purpose, and for how long. That includes verifiable deletion of consumer data on request, enforcement of data-use restrictions so downstream systems can only use data in permitted ways, and the cataloging and classification that let Plaid know what data it holds and how sensitive it is. We operate at the scale of Plaid's entire data footprint, and correctness and auditability matter to us as much as throughput. As a Staff Software Engineer on Data Governance, you will set the technical direction for how Plaid enforces data governance at scale. You'll lead the design of distributed backend systems that reliably delete, restrict, and track data across dozens of services, making architectural decisions whose blast radius spans the whole company. You'll drive multi-quarter initiatives from ambiguous privacy and regulatory requirements through
