This role supports One global, center led R&D Finance standard that enables enterprise business strategy alignment, financial transparency, and accountability across the R&D portfolio. The position is responsible for developing, governing, and leading consistent financial processes, insights, and decision frameworks that allow leaders to make nimble, data driven investment decisions—ultimately accelerating delivery of best in class technologies for patients. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve Global R&D Finance standards (planning, forecasting, capitalization, investment metrics, and reporting).
- Establish strong governance to ensure consistency in project accounting, standard reporting to determine benchmarks and insights.
- Drive adoption of standards through clear documentation, training, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Enable high‑quality financial insights that connect investment, risk, progress, and outcomes across the R&D lifecycle.
- Ensure financial insights are forward‑looking, actionable, and aligned to enterprise value creation and patient impact.
- Manages staff by setting expectations, coaching performance, and supporting professional development to build a high‑performing team.
- Partner closely with COE Team, R&D leaders, portfolio management, CFO/FP&A to ensure end‑to‑end alignment.
- Serve as a connective leader between center‑led finance and business‑embedded teams, strengthening collaboration and shared accountability.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 5+ years) plus 5+ years of progressive leadership experience
