Our Field Security Specialists help security leaders and practitioners apply OpenAI models, APIs, Codex, agentic workflows, and emerging cyber capabilities to real defensive challenges. About the Role We are looking for a Manager of Field Security Specialists to build and lead our customer-facing cyber solutions engineering function. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can develop an exceptional team while remaining close to the technology and our customers. You will establish the operating model for the function, raise the quality of specialist engagements, and personally support our most strategic and technically complex customer opportunities. You will work across CISO-level strategy, practitioner-level cybersecurity challenges, and hands-on solution design. Your team will help customers explore workflows including application security, secure software development, vulnerability management, threat modeling, cloud and identity security, SOC operations, detection engineering, incident response, and security validation. Security teams are under pressure to reason across code, logs, infrastructure, tickets, alerts, and vulnerability data faster than ever. As frontier models become more capable, organizations need deep technical guidance on how to evaluate, validate, and safely deploy AI systems in security-critical workflows. About the Role We are looking for a Cybersecurity Applied AI Engineer to partner with customers and help them apply OpenAI models, APIs, Codex, and agentic workflows to real cybersecurity use cases. You will work with CISOs, security executives, application security leaders, SOC teams, security engineering teams, and hands-on practitioners to identify where AI can create measurable security outcomes. This is a customer-facing technical role for someone who can move fluidly between executive strategy, practitioner-level cyber depth, and hands-on solution design. You will help customers evaluate and deploy workflows such as secure code review, vulnerability triage, threat modeling, remediation, SOC and incident response workflows, detection engineering, cloud security, GRC automation, and security validation. About the Role: We are looking for a leader to build and scale our Support Engineering team, which will collaborate directly with our strategic enterprise accounts, our product and engineering teams, as well as our field teams to solve some of the most difficult technical problems faced by our customers. You will lead one of the best technical troubleshooting teams at OpenAI, and our customers and Engineering teams will look to you for technical guidance in addressing the most technically difficult issues in our environment.
