As a Metrology Overlay Process Development Engineer you will be primarily responsible for starting up, developing, and optimizing the overlay metrology processes used for DRAM photolithography process flows. Overlay metrology is a critical need within the semiconductor industry, and in this position your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: · Driving the understanding of new metrology technology and measurement techniques to ensure that our overlay measurement capabilities meet the precision, accuracy, and throughput required to meet our device overlay roadmaps · Partnering with metrology equipment vendors on continuous improvement of software/hardware and development of overlay techniques to support lithography process characterization, process optimization, and process control · Optimizing and maintaining the calibration of metrology systems that support our technology development · Working closely with process development and process integration engineers to optimize measurements for multiple device process flows and layer stacks · Developing applications on next generation processes and technologies within Fab 4 and qualification for tech

Key Responsibilities Overlay Strategy, Roadmap & Technical Leadership Own the overlay roadmap including bond overlay technologies. Serve as the technical authority for overlay, defining overlay specifications, error budgets, mark strategies, technical signoff criteria, and scaling requirements for future technology nodes. Develop innovative overlay solutions that enable advanced bonding while meeting performance, yield, manufacturability, and scaling objectives. Drive advancement of overlay metrology, automation, process control, modeling, and analytics capabilities in partnership with Process and Metrology teams. Apply advanced analytics, Artificial Intelligence, simulation, and experimental methodologies to accelerate learning, identify root causes, and improve overlay performance. Technology Development & Problem Solving Lead simulation and experimental process development activities, balancing modeling with hands-on characterization and technology development. Develop and maintain overlay error budgets, validation plans, experiments, and technical assessments that connect process behavior to device and integration requirements. Solve complex overlay challenges involving alignment, distortion, deformation, process interactions, and bonded wafers. Translate technical findings into actionable process improvements, technology decisions, and roadmap recommendations. <

As a Metrology Application Engineer at Micron Technology, you will: 1. Develop, analyze and implement metrology measurement techniques in films with a primary focus on lithography overlay, CD-SEM. Also need to cover ellipsometry/ scatterometry characterization, modeling; XRF, and surface profiling techniques. 2. Perform SWR (Special Work Request) lots to assist Engineers to complete the evaluations for set-up metrology of recipe of newly introduced processes, new process equipment, for process improvement, optimization or characterization 3. Be responsible for driving supplier tool CIP activity, assisting in NPI (New Product Introduction) transfer activity, defining quality metrics, achieving metrology performance, and providing weekly summary updates. 4. Be constantly engaged in the Fab operation and performing tasks to improve quality, reduce cost, reduce cycle time, and improve yield. Detailed analysis of next generation measurement capabilities as well as coordinating evolutionary programs. 5. Deliver reliable and value-adding metrology applications to reinforce Micron's technical competitiveness. Standardize BKM, knowledge and way of working to keep the growth of metrology team. Job Purpose The Metrology Engineer is Hyliion's technical authority on dimensional measurement across internal operations and the supply base. KARNO functionality depends on precision machined components and sub-assemblies held to micron-level form and finish, and this position sits within the Quality function as the interface between Design Engineering, the supply base, Manufacturing, and Quality. The role owns the measurement system end to end: the metrology lab and equipment roadmap, inspection programs and fixtures, the calibration and gage control system, and the measurement standards to which both supplier and internal inspection are held. The position is accountable for the integrity of dimensional data wherever it is generated — at a supplier's machine, at receiving inspection, or in process on Hyliion's floor — and for ensuring that results from those sources agree within defined, documented tolerances. The balance between supplier-facing and internal work shifts with the maturity of the supply base and the product portfolio; both are permanent responsibilities of the role.
