This is a foundational, high-ownership role for someone who wants to define how a company runs procurement, not inherit an existing process. As the company scales across engineering, GTM, and corporate functions, we need to build purchasing workflows and vendor relationships. This role exists to make procurement a source of leverage for the business, not friction. Your goal is to build scalable process, take on vendor management and RFP work that today sits informally with individual teams, and free up business owners' time and capacity, all while building the guardrails the company needs as it grows. You'll partner closely with Finance, Legal, Security, Compliance, IT, and business owners across the company, and you'll be judged on whether teams feel supported and unblocked, not slowed down. RESPONSIBILITIES Procurement Strategy and Process Design and implement Baseten's first company-wide procurement process, approval routing, and other workflows Establish procurement policies (spend thresholds, approval authority, competitive bidding requirements) tailored to a high-growth business Design pr

We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. We own the systems, tools, and infrastructure that every Plaid employee depends on from identity and endpoint management to help desk support, office infrastructure, and the internal tooling that powers day-to-day productivity. What sets us apart from a traditional IT team is how we approach the higher level goals we have to improve our systems and tooling over time. We treat corporate infrastructure like an engineering problem: configuration lives in code when possible, endpoint provisioning is automated, access assignment is self-service, and we're always looking for ways to make our systems more reliable and our support burden smaller. We've built real momentum in that direction, and we're investing in the people and tools to take it further. We're a small team with broad ownership and high standards. We work closely with Security, Engineering, and People teams to make sure Plaid's internal environment is secure, scalable, and ready for where the company is going whether that's a new office, a new compliance requirement, or a new way of working enabled by A

THE ROLE As a member of the Capacity Strategy & Operations team, you will sit at the intersection of supply intelligence, demand forecasting, and cross-functional execution, turning a complex, fast-moving hardware market into a predictable, reliable foundation for our customers and internal engineering teams. This is not a purely analytical role. You will own the end-to-end capacity planning process: from translating customer commitments and growth forecasts into concrete supply requirements, to coordinating fulfillment across vendors, finance, and the infrastructure team, to building the systems that make all of this repeatable and scalable. You are a strong fit if you have operated at the intersection of strategy and execution before — someone who is equally comfortable building a capacity model in a spreadsheet and running a cross-functional war room when a customer deployment is at risk. EXAMPLE INITIATIVES Demand-Supply Alignment Framework: Build and own the process that translates customer pipeline, signed commitments, and growth projections into a forward-looking GPU demand signal — so the team is never caught flat-footed when a customer scales faster than expected.
