The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) job is a development focused role that is crafted to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position. The SMIT program is designed to enhance your career as a future store leader. We support your development towards the store manager role by participating in a self-paced, collaborative training over the span of 16 weeks. We provide both virtual and hands on learning experiences to develop you as a leader. Our team of people, that support your growth toward your leadership career include: your District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and your Store Manager coach. Some of the skills needed for this role are: Communicate well verbally and in writing to support and lead your team. Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service. Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth. Manage the store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. Job Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on facilities equipment. Monitor inventory of facility supplies and materials. Assist in setting up and arranging meeting rooms and workspaces. Conduct safety checks and report any hazards or issues. Support facility security measures and access control. Respond to facility-related requests and inquiries from employees. Critical Skills & Experience Requirements Basic knowledge of facility maintenance and repair procedures. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Strong organizational skills for managing supplies and materials. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Job Responsibilities Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand. Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in designated storage areas. Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition. Sweep and mop floors, empty trash, and ensure cleanliness and safety in the kitchen area. Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas. Ensure compliance with sanitation regulations and food safety guidelines. Assist with unloading and storing deliveries. Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the culinary team or supervisor. Critical Skills & Experience Requirements No specific educational requirements; a high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred. Proven experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding kitchen environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy trays or dish racks. Basic knowledge of sanitation regulations and food safety standards.
