About the Team The Spark Platform team owns and operates DoorDash's Apache Spark ecosystem — the execution runtime, remote shuffle service, cluster scheduler, and reliability tooling that powers the company's data, analytics, and ML workloads. We run Spark across the company at significant scale and continue to expand the workloads, capabilities, and consumer base we serve. Orchestrating and operating thousands of Spark cluster deployments is a complex distributed system problem which the team invests heavily in runtime optimization, systems architecture, multi-tenant scheduling, and end-user tooling. About the Role As a Software Engineer on Spark Platform, you will execute across the surfaces of our in-house Spark deployment that serves the entire company. The work spans Spark runtime upgrades and performance, multi-tenant scheduling and executor bin-packing on Kubernetes, cluster lifecycle automation, and the observability and incident automation that keep the platform sustainable. You will move between layers as the work demands — picking up the next high-leverage problem regardless of where it sits — and partner closely with the rest of the team and with platform consumers across the company. You must be located in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Seattle, or New York City for this hybrid position. You will report into the Engineering Manager on our Spark Platform team. You're excited about this opportunity because you will… Build and operate an in-house Spark platform that runs at company-wide scale, spanning runtime, scheduler, reliability, and user-facing tooling. Drive multi-tenant scheduling, executor bin-packing, and cost-aware placement that let a small team serve dozens of consumer teams. Own pieces of cluster lifecycle automation — provisioning, upgrades, capacity changes, and node-failure handling — at a scale where these stop being manual events. Build the observability and incident automation that make the platform debuggable end-to-end and keep on-call sus

The teams are responsible for understanding Product Engineering’s evolving needs and developing platform and infrastructure capabilities to serve them. The team currently supports CockroachDB, Cassandra, Kafka and Redis as well as data abstraction services to reduce the complexity of interacting with storage systems for Product Engineers. About the Role The Storage team is building and operating a high-performance, scalable, and reliable data abstraction layer that optimizes both efficiency and reliability. Our goal is to create a platform that manages itself and fades into the background—empowering engineers to focus on delivering product experiences our customers love. This role is available across two teams within Storage, each solving unique and high-impact challenges: One team is building the orchestration layer for DoorDash’s storage platform—unifying lifecycle management, operations, and self-serve APIs for databases and streaming systems, turning complex, stateful infrastructure into reliable, developer-friendly services used across the company. One team builds and operates the distributed data platform powering DoorDash's largest stateful workloads -- including Cassandra, which backs critical product surfaces across DoorDash, Wolt, and Roo. You'll design high-throughput data abstractions, smart clients, and platform services that make distributed data reliable and easy to work with at multi-petabyte, multi-million-QPS scale, with opportunities to go deep on distributed systems internals and contribute to the open-source Cassandra ecosystem. About the Team At DoorDash, design means making experiences for the people who order, the people who prepare, and the people who deliver. As a Designer at DoorDash, you want to build things that matter to real people. You're at your best when you can move from idea to shipped product quickly, bringing experiences to life that reach and influence users at massive scale. You'll care about whether the product you make solved a real problem for real people, or changed how someone experiences their day. About the Role At DoorDash, we’re redefining what it means to be a designer. We’re building a team of makers, builders, and doers. Over the past decade, “web designer” evolved into “product designer” as the scope expanded. Now, that shift is happening again — LLMs are broadening the role further, pushing design toward both strategic thinking and direct execution. As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll help lead this evolution: not only practicing build-first design, but scaling it across people, processes, and systems. In this role, you’ll join the Ads & Promos Design team — one of DoorDash’s fastest-growing businesses — owning end-to-end campaign experience design and shaping the strategic vision for our marketing tooling system. About the Team DoorDash Labs is an independent team within DoorDash. We explore robotics and automation to transform last-mile logistics in the long term. If you want to work on commercializing autonomy and robotics in a service used by millions of people — and on bringing the merchant partners who power that service along with us — then we want to talk to you! About the Role Come help us redefine last-mile logistics through robotics, automation, and other advanced technologies. Autonomy only works when merchants — restaurants, retailers, and other partners — can reliably interact with our robots: handing off orders, troubleshooting edge cases, and trusting the experience enough to keep using it. This role owns that side of the equation. We're looking for a Merchant Success & Growth lead to build the strategy and operational mechanisms that get merchants onboard, keep them performing, and turn their day-to-day reality into a tight feedback loop for product and engineering. You're excited about this opportunity because you will… Own merchant adoption and performance KPIs for autonomy end-to-end — defining what "successful merchant interaction with a robot" means, instrumenting it, and driving improvement against it. Build the playbooks and operational mechanisms to onboard merchants to autonomy — from first conversation through training, go-live, and steady-state ops — and scale them across markets. Partner with sales, account management, and field ops to recruit and ramp the right merchant cohorts for each stage of the product, and design experiments that test new merchant-facing features and handoff models. Define merchant performance benchmarks (handoff success rate, dwell time, dasher/robot interaction quality, merchant CSAT) and run the cadence that holds partners and internal teams accountable to them. Stand up the feedback loop from the field back to product and engineering — turning merchant complaints, edge cases, and frontline observations into prioriti

About the Team Design Program Managers make DoorDash's Design Studio run better. As owner of the Logistics pillar within Design Operations, you're accountable for one of our most important operating outcomes: maximizing the bandwidth of the team. About the Role You'll find where ICs and managers lose time, fragmented workflows, manual processes, meeting overload, unclear rhythms, and you'll define and build the tools and systems that fix it. That might mean shipping a new internal tool, automating a recurring workflow, redesigning how scheduling or reviews work, or establishing a better operating cadence. You own the full loop: diagnose the problem, design the system, build the tool, measure whether it worked. You're excited about this opportunity because you will… Own the Logistics outcome, maximize the bandwidth of the team. ICs and managers have more usable time. Meeting load decreases. The team can focus on high-value work. Identify the biggest sources of operational drag across the Studio and turn them into a prioritized roadmap of tools and process fixes. Define and build the tools, automations, and workflows that reduce manual coordination, including for scheduling, budgets, vendor management, and event logistics. Redesign how the Studio operates: reviews, planning cadences, rhythms for both ICs and managers, information flows, whatever determines how fast teams can move. Measure whether your systems work, usable time for ICs and managers, meeting load, adoption, hours of manual work eliminated, and iterate. Turn recurring requests into scalable solutions.
