The Opportunity This is an exciting time at Enigma. We’re on the cusp of releasing our next generation of small business intelligence products built on years of learnings in the space. We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our Entity Resolution team and help shape the trajectory of these products. Your work will directly impact the accuracy, scalability, and predictive capabilities of our data platform, influencing key business decisions for our customers. The Role Data is at the core of Enigma’s product, which makes data science the beating heart of what we ship. As a Data Scientist on the Entity Resolution Team, you will work in a cross-functional team alongside other data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders. You will own problems end to end–from raw source data, through models and scalable pipelines, to the customer interface. Your impact will be measured by the contributions you make with your team to improve the accuracy of our data and the value of our product to our customers. What You’ll Do Translate customer goals into working solutions, using large-scale data transformation, sound statistics, and high-quality code. Most of our work is in Databricks (both Spark SQL + PySpark), supported by statistical tooling, and by ML/AI where the problem calls for it. Set a high standard for rigorous analysis and model development, grounded in sound statistical practice, so that results are high-quality and reproducible. Treat data as a reflection of the real world, and develop repeatable strategies for validating results against ground truth. Develop techniques to detect gaps in our data, find the source, and close them in a way that improves the product. Apply a data-focused, first-principles approach to problem solving. We value people who bias toward simple and elegant solutions, but who can implement state-of-the-art models and techniques when the problem requires it What Makes This Role Exciting? As the Engineering Manager for the Lakehouse Foundation team, you will lead a group of engineers responsible for the foundational data layer that all of Lyft's data systems and emerging AI workloads are built on. The team owns catalog and metadata management, table formats and storage, and the access patterns and gateways through which other engineering teams interact with Lyft's data. As Lyft converges on a unified lakehouse architecture, this team builds and operates the single source of truth that powers analytics, machine learning, experimentation, and every business decision made from data. You will play a key role in shaping the team's technical direction, partnering with peer Data Platform teams on a multi-year platform evolution, and developing engineers who operate with autonomy on systems of significant scale and complexity. Scale has been the leading AI data foundry, helping fuel the most exciting advancements in AI, including frontier model training, enterprise adoption, defense applications, and autonomous vehicles. Our mission is to develop reliable AI systems for the world's most important decisions. The next frontier for AI is the physical world. We're looking for an AI Product Manager to own the Robotics vertical within our Physical AI team. In this role, you'll own both the development of the data and training environments (the teleoperated demonstrations, real-world collections, simulated tasks, and annotation products that labs use to train and evaluate robot policies) and the "data as a product" strategy that powers them. You'll understand where physical AI is headed, decide what robot tasks and embodiments are worth collecting, how to source and structure the underlying data, and how to turn deep domain knowledge into a defensible product. The ideal candidate has lived inside robotics or physical AI research, and is able to pair that domain understanding with a sense for where current robot policies succeed and fail in real-world workflows. You'll translate that expertise into datasets, environments, and evaluation frameworks that teach robots to do real physical work, and you'll be the domain expert Scale's most important customers and their leading researchers turn to. A strong entrepreneurial & go-to-market mindset will be necessary. What You'll Do Own the Robotics AI roadmap & data strategy: Set product direction for the robotics training stack and the data strategy behind it — what data we collect, on which hardware and embodiments, and what we source internally vs. through our marketplace. Establish a vision for where physical AI is heading, driving execution across engineering, operations, and go-to-market teams. Software is eating the world, but AI is eating software. We live in unprecedented times – AI has the potential to exponentially augment human intelligence. Every person will have a personal tutor, coach, assistant, personal shopper, travel guide, and therapist throughout life. As the world adjusts to this new reality, leading platform companies are scrambling to build LLMs at billion scale, while large enterprises figure out how to add it to their products. To make them safe, aligned and actually useful, these models need human evaluation and reinforcement learning through human feedback (RLHF) during pre-training, fine-tuning, and production evaluations. This is the main innovation that’s enabled ChatGPT to get such a large headstart among competition. At Scale, our products include the Generative AI Data Engine, SGP, Donovan, and others that power the most advanced LLMs and generative models in the world through world-class RLHF, human data generation, model evaluation, safety, and alignment. The data we are producing is some of the most important work for how humanity will interact with AI. At the foundation of these products is the Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will lead the design and development of core data storage, streaming, caching, and indexing platforms and underlying systems. You’ll also get widespread exposure to the forefront of the AI race as Scale sees it in enterprises, startups, governments, and large tech companies.
