Secure Every Identity, from AI to Human Identity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence. This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk. Get to know the team The Developer Platform team at Auth0 (an Okta company) owns the platform that developers build identity on. Increasingly they build alongside AI agents, and that raises the bar on everything underneath: interfaces have to hold up whether a person or an agent is calling them, and the systems behind them have to stay reliable and coherent as usage grows. We move fast, we own problems end to end, and we care deeply about the platform we put in front of the developers and agents who depend on it. The opportunity We're hiring a Principal Engineer (P5) to serve as the technical leader and compass for the Developer Platform team. You'll work across the breadth of the platform, tackling the highly complex, vaguely specified problems that span it and turning them into clear technical direction the team can execute against, without day-to-day oversight. Above all, you'll own how the platform is architected to scale: the distributed systems behind it, the reliability and consistency guarantees developers depend on, and the coherence that keeps it easy to build on as usage grows. You'll champion the team's technical execution, raise the engineering bar, mentor the people around you, and partner with tech leads across teams to keep the wider platform aligned. You'll have real influence over how our platform holds up in a world where developers and agents are both first-class consumers. What you'll be doing Own the platform architecture: Set the tech

At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive. As the Engineering Manager for the Lakehouse Foundation team, you will lead a group of engineers responsible for the foundational data layer that all of Lyft's data systems and emerging AI workloads are built on. The team owns catalog and metadata management, table formats and storage, and the access patterns and gateways through which other engineering teams interact with Lyft's data. As Lyft converges on a unified lakehouse architecture, this team builds and operates the single source of truth that powers analytics, machine learning, experimentation, and every business decision made from data. You will play a key role in shaping the team's technical direction, partnering with peer Data Platform teams on a multi-year platform evolution, and developing engineers who operate with autonomy on systems of significant scale and complexity. Lyft's Infrastructure teams build the foundational systems that the rest of engineering depends on to move fast, ship reliably, and scale efficiently. These are high-leverage roles where the work you and your team do has a multiplicative effect across the company. We're looking for experienced leaders who can balance the discipline of operating critical infrastructure with the curiosity to keep evolving how Lyft builds. Engineering at Lyft is a place where managers and engineers operate with high ownership and strong technical judgment. Our engineers expect their managers to be honest, available, and focused on the work that matters: developing their teams, removing obstacles, and giving people the support they need to do their best work. We build teams that are inclusive, technically rigorous, and have a strong sense of ownership for what they build. Responsibilities: Lead a team responsible for Lyft's foundational data layer, including catalog and metadata management,

We handle billions in annual managed commissions for market leaders like Edmentum, Stryker, and Autodesk. Our growth has been fuelled by our passion for fundamentally changing and shaping how companies use sales intelligence to drive business strategy. We’re welcoming equally driven individuals who are excited about creating something big! About the Team Engineers on this team build our rules-based calculation engine for processing sales commissions. This might sound simple if you have never been exposed to sales compensation plans, it is not. We are low on meetings and high on accountability. Most of the team is in the EST time zone, with a few located in PST and Central as well. We are still evolving many areas of the platform, which means there is meaningful room to improve the design, reliability, and scalability of the systems we build. What you’ll be doing Reporting to the Manager of Data Platform, you will play an important role in the evolution of our Spark-based data platform. You’ll design and build data-rich platform capabilities, contribute to system design discussions, and help ensure our data systems remain reliable, maintainable, and scalable as Forma grows. As a Senior Engineer, Data Platform, you are expected to operate with strong ownership and sound technical judgment. About the Team The Spark Platform team owns and operates DoorDash's Apache Spark ecosystem — the execution runtime, remote shuffle service, cluster scheduler, and reliability tooling that powers the company's data, analytics, and ML workloads. We run Spark across the company at significant scale and continue to expand the workloads, capabilities, and consumer base we serve. Orchestrating and operating thousands of Spark cluster deployments is a complex distributed system problem which the team invests heavily in runtime optimization, systems architecture, multi-tenant scheduling, and end-user tooling. About the Role As a Software Engineer on Spark Platform, you will execute across the surfaces of our in-house Spark deployment that serves the entire company. The work spans Spark runtime upgrades and performance, multi-tenant scheduling and executor bin-packing on Kubernetes, cluster lifecycle automation, and the observability and incident automation that keep the platform sustainable. You will move between layers as the work demands — picking up the next high-leverage problem regardless of where it sits — and partner closely with the rest of the team and with platform consumers across the company. You must be located in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Seattle, or New York City for this hybrid position. You will report into the Engineering Manager on our Spark Platform team. You're excited about this opportunity because you will… Build and operate an in-house Spark platform that runs at company-wide scale, spanning runtime, scheduler, reliability, and user-facing tooling. Drive multi-tenant scheduling, executor bin-packing, and cost-aware placement that let a small team serve dozens of consumer teams. Own pieces of cluster lifecycle automation — provisioning, upgrades, capacity changes, and node-failure handling — at a scale where these stop being manual events.
