Secure Every Identity, from AI to Human Identity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence. This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk. Get to know the team The Developer Platform team at Auth0 (an Okta company) owns the platform that developers build identity on. Increasingly they build alongside AI agents, and that raises the bar on everything underneath: interfaces have to hold up whether a person or an agent is calling them, and the systems behind them have to stay reliable and coherent as usage grows. We move fast, we own problems end to end, and we care deeply about the platform we put in front of the developers and agents who depend on it. The opportunity We're hiring a Principal Engineer (P5) to serve as the technical leader and compass for the Developer Platform team. You'll work across the breadth of the platform, tackling the highly complex, vaguely specified problems that span it and turning them into clear technical direction the team can execute against, without day-to-day oversight. Above all, you'll own how the platform is architected to scale: the distributed systems behind it, the reliability and consistency guarantees developers depend on, and the coherence that keeps it easy to build on as usage grows. You'll champion the team's technical execution, raise the engineering bar, mentor the people around you, and partner with tech leads across teams to keep the wider platform aligned. You'll have real influence over how our platform holds up in a world where developers and agents are both first-class consumers. What you'll be doing Own the platform architecture: Set the tech

About Okta for AI Agents Okta secures access for 20,000 organizations and billions of users. Okta for AI Agents extends that work to the agentic shift. Deploying an AI agent is not like deploying traditional software. You are putting professional work output into production, and it needs deep integration, continuous tuning, and change management. Every agent needs an identity, a scope, an audit trail, and a way to be shut down when it goes wrong. Most enterprises have not built this yet. We are. We hire builders who see the cracks in enterprise agent identity that everyone else has learned to live with. The Role You are the most senior technical field authority for agent identity at Okta. Where a Senior FDE owns the outcome inside one account, you own the patterns that every account and every FDE inherits. You take the hardest and most strategic deployments yourself, set the reference architecture the team builds from, and turn what the field learns into the direction the product takes. You still write code. You also multiply the people around you, and you are the person product and engineering leadership call when an agent identity problem has no precedent. Responsibilities Own the reference architecture. Define the canonical agent identity, delegation, audit, and kill-switch patterns that Senior FDEs deploy across the portfolio, and keep them current as the standards and the product move. Lead the hardest accounts. Personally own the most strategic, regul

The Auth0Lab Team We are a small team of engineers exploring new Auth0 products and features ideas. We take things from 0 to 1 and we look to shape the future of identity. Our team has had a big role shaping the identity industry: we were all early at Auth0, which shaped how devs do authentication as part of Auth0Lab we incubated Auth0 FGA which redefined how authorization is done across the industry and we also incubated Auth0 for AI agents which defined auth for AI agents We are currently focused on enabling builders and companies of any size to ship production grade AI agents, by helping them with identity and security. We believe data, and developing our own models will play a huge role in this. The role We are looking for a Principal Applied AI Scientist to take product ideas from 0 to 1 and define how we do new AI product innovation. You'll have a lot of independence: you set the technical direction for AI, and experiment fast with minimal process. With that comes real ownership: you'll be the first AI/ML person in the team, so you'll often be figuring it out without a research org behind you. This is a hands-on role. Publishing papers and open sourcing results might happen as it helps us and the industry, but is not our main goal. We have a lot to teach you about security, auth, developer products and many other things. And we also want to learn from you. Join us to ha
