Senior Backend Engineering Manager in Toronto

Overview: Guidepoint seeks an experienced Data/AI Engineer as an integral member of the Toronto-based AI team. The Toronto Technology Hub serves as the base of our Data/AI/ML team, dedicated to building a modern data infrastructure for advanced analytics and the development of responsible AI. This strategic investment is integral to Guidepoint’s vision for the future, aiming to develop cutting-edge Generative AI and analytical capabilities that will underpin Guidepoint’s Next-Gen research enablement platform and data products. This role demands exceptional leadership and technical prowess to drive the development of next-generation research enablement platforms and AI-driven data products. You will develop and scale Generative AI-powered systems, including large language model (LLM) applications and research agents, while ensuring the integration of responsible AI and best-in-class MLOps. The Senior AI/ML Engineer will be a primary contributor to building scalable AI/ML capabilities using Databricks and other state-of-the-art tools across all of Guidepoint’s products. Guidepoint’s Technology team thrives on problem-solving and creating happier users. As Guidepoint works to achieve its mission of making individuals, businesses, and the world smarter through personalized knowledge-sharing solutions, the engineering team is taking on challenges to improve our internal application architecture and create new AI-enabled products to optimize the seamless delivery of our services. This is a hybrid position based in Toronto. What You'll Do: Architect and Build Production Systems: Design, build, and operate scalable, low-latency backend services and APIs that serve Generative AI features, from retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines to complex agentic systems. Own the AI Application Lifecycle: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of AI-powered applications, including system design, development, deployment (CI/CD), monitoring, and optimization

About the Role: Tubi's content platform is the engine behind one of the largest free streaming services in the world. Every play, every deal, every creator, every frame of video flows through systems CPE owns, and the surface area is enormous. Distributed services running on the hottest path of Tubi's traffic. Video pipelines processing one of the largest workloads in streaming. Workflow engines automating the operations that used to consume entire teams. Creator-facing products turning a back-office process into a real platform. And on top of all of it, an AI-native rebuild of the CMS that most companies aren't willing to attempt. This isn't a single-domain role. It's a platform where backend, frontend, video, infrastructure, and applied AI all collide at the scale where decisions actually matter, where an architectural choice ripples across millions of titles and billions of requests, and where the difference between "good enough" and "great" shows up in revenue. We're looking for builders who want to range across domains — backend one quarter, frontend the next, applied AI the one after that — and who want their work to be felt: by viewers when a title plays instantly, by creators when they go live the same day, by Content Ops when a workflow runs itself, and by the business when the platform stops being a cost center and starts being a force multiplier. The infrastructure is already there. The mandate is already there. What's missing is the people who want to build the thing, not talk about it. Come build it. This is a hybrid role based out of our Toronto office. You must be willing to travel to our Toronto office two days/week. What You'll Do: You'll work on systems that sit at the heart of Tubi's business, where the content pipeline meets the viewer, the creator, and increasingly, the AI agent. The work spans the full stack of a modern content platform: distributed services, video infrastructure, workflow automation, and applied AI, all running at

We're united by shared goals and shared motivations at Justworks. These are best summed up in our company values, which are reflected in our product and in our team. Our Values If this sounds like you, you’ll fit right in. Who You Are You are self-driven and like to work with others to remove roadblocks. You are curious and love to explore and learn new technologies. You have demonstrated the ability to build, deploy, and maintain large-scale, complex applications. You care more about solutions and impacting the customer experience than using a particular tool or framework. About the role: You will join a small, highly autonomous cross-functional team to build AI agents that fundamentally transform how operations work at scale. Instead of writing bespoke software for every workflow, we are developing an agent platform that can read operational knowledge, reason about it in context, and execute tasks end-to-end. This approach allows us to scale complexity through knowledge and reasoning, rather than simply through code. This is an opportunity to join a foundational team, which currently consists of fewer than five engineers. The work spans critical areas including LLM-powered agent design, robust backend service architecture, tool and integration development, and sophisticated knowledge infrastructure. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong pas

To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done. About the role The App Runtime team is building a platform that lets every Snowflake user go from an idea to a live, deployed web application (Node.js first) in minutes. We own the end-to-end experience of building and running apps, from Cortex AI-assisted development to deployment in a secure, scalable infrastructure. Apps built on the platform inherit Snowflake's security, governance, lineage, and access controls by default. See Deploy Faster with Snowflake Apps . As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will drive initiatives that span our product areas and tech stack. It’s a high-impact role - you will work on an early-stage, public-preview product. Your work will directly shape the product experience developers rely on. This role requires a unique combination of deep hands-on expertise with web frameworks, great UX design instincts, customer obsession and collaboration with backend teams. Responsibilities Build the AI-assisted, agentic development experiences that power App Runtime, spanning the full tech stack - React, Go, Python, and Java Stay deeply hands-on by authoring technical and design specs that consider the system holistically (frontend and backend) and implementing critical code Partner directly with customers, i.e. developers building Snowflake Apps, translati

The org spans four major teams: DevX (Developer Experience), TestX (Test Infrastructure), Backend Platform, and Mobile Platform. DevX owns Robinhood's monorepo and Bazel-based build infrastructure — the critical layer between a developer writing code and that code being ready to ship — along with the company's full CI/CD pipeline and remote build execution cluster. TestX owns the infrastructure behind Robinhood's entire test experience: the integration test environments, and personal development environments that serve as miniature simulations of the full Robinhood system, giving engineers a safe, isolated space to test their code end-to-end before it ever touches production. Backend Platform and Mobile Platform own the core language runtimes, libraries, IDEs, and developer toolchains across Python, Go, TypeScript, Swift, and Android. Together, these teams share a single north star: leveraging AI and agentic systems

At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive. Our mission depends on having a digital representation of the physical world - a map with all routing related (real-time) information. This is what makes Lyft different from many products: our products don’t just facilitate online interactions, they facilitate dynamic, real-world ones. Without mapping services, none of these real world interactions between people and transport can happen. This team supports the backbone of Lyft’s search system, supporting millions of rides by helping our riders and drivers connect and reach their destination. We constantly innovate and incorporate cutting-edge technologies to make the lives of our community more enriched. In this role, you'll collaborate with other engineering teams, product, data science, analytics, and operations on programs that empower us to iterate quickly, delighting our passengers and drivers with rideshare focused mapping experiences. Responsibilities: Drive high-impact projects and innovate new solutions to provide the best customer experiences Lead backend and cross functional projects to achieve long term goals as well as deliver short term roadmaps Lead large features from idea to successful execution and launch Own systems and
