About the Job: As the Associate Collections Specialist, you will ensure that invoices are accepted by the customers, invoice disputes are resolved in a timely manner, payments are received on time, and be responsible for cash applications and reconciliations. You will have excellent attention to detail, solve problems, and be able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks. Responsibilities: Collections Manage an assigned book of customer accounts, monitoring aging reports and proactively following up on past-due invoices via phone and email. Build and maintain a track record of improving collections performance, including reducing days sales outstanding (DSO) and aged receivables. Negotiate payment timelines or arrangements with customers when needed, balancing timely recovery with a positive customer experience. Cash Application & Reconciliation Apply incoming customer payments (checks, ACH, wire, credit card) to the correct invoices and accounts in NetSuite. Perform regular cash and account reconciliations to ensure payments, credits, and adjustments are accurately reflected. Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, and payment discrepancies in a timely manner. Customer Issue Resolution Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers on billing and payment questions, working to resolve disputes and discrepancies efficiently. Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Billing teams to investigate and resolve issues affecting timely payment.
