Datadog Sales Engineers help qualify and close opportunities with customers and partners. You will provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, and supporting technical evaluations (POCs). Sales Engineers have a voice with the product team to help prioritize features based on input from customers, competitors, and partners. Additionally, you will work with various teams to resolve customer concerns, escalate bug issues, and serve as an ambassador for our brand. What You’ll Do: Partner with the sales team to articulate the overall Datadog value proposition, vision and strategy to customers Continually learn new technology to build competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility Deliver product and technical presentations with potential clients Have a direct line of communication with the product team to collaborate on feature requests Help clients onboard the product and assist when they run into roadblocks. Think creatively about a wide variety of technical challenges during the pre-sales life cycle Who You Are: Minimum 4+ years in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering along with either DevOps/SRE, or Platform Engineering Knowledgeable and experienced with DevOps monitoring or architecture tools. Comfortable and confident in delivering technical presentations/demos to either external customers or internal teams Able to think creatively about a wide variety of challenges. A well-curated online and/or print portfolio/case study demonstrating UX/UI design skills, curiosity, positive attitude and strong drive to learn from a fast paced environment. Proven UX/UI design experience for multiple platforms including desktop, mobile, tablet. Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction. Additionally experience in data informed and customer centric approach to design is key. Solid experience in creating wireframes, prototype, storyboards, user flows, and process flows. Experience in simplifying complex information through end-to-end experiences designs while co-creating with all the senior designers for smooth implementation. Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, rools, and technologies and their role in a commercial environment. 1-2 years of relevant experience with a B. DeS/M. DeS in Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related is an advantage. General understanding of the front-end development process, including HTML and CSS. Ability to speak fluent English is a must. Demonstrable proficiency in presenting your designs and selling your solutions to various stakeholders through clear communication is key.
