THE ROLE We are hiring a senior quality engineer to own System Testing for Pure’s FlashArray products. You will validate stability, resiliency, and performance under sustained, production‑like workloads , far beyond basic functional testing. You will design and run multi‑week, customer‑like scenarios that combine workloads, failovers, upgrades, and fault injections, and use the insights to influence architecture, design, and release decisions. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role at the intersection of architecture, systems, and large‑scale testing—acting as a key quality gate before releases reach Pure’s customers. WHAT YOU'LL DO Own System Testing strategy for releases Define System Testing strategy and test plans for major features and releases, focusing on stability, longevity, and end‑to‑end behavior, not just feature correctness. Design realistic, high‑value scenarios Build scenarios that mirror Pure customer environments: mixed workloads (block, file, object), long‑running IO, failovers, NDUs, hardware events, and background operations (replication, snapshots, quotas, etc.), combining automation with targeted “tortures”. Drive execution and triage on System Testing beds Own System Testing environments (arrays, initiators, OSes, accessories); keep them healthy, representative, and well‑instrumented. A well-curated online and/or print portfolio/case study demonstrating UX/UI design skills, curiosity, positive attitude and strong drive to learn from a fast paced environment. Proven UX/UI design experience for multiple platforms including desktop, mobile, tablet. Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction. Additionally experience in data informed and customer centric approach to design is key. Solid experience in creating wireframes, prototype, storyboards, user flows, and process flows. Experience in simplifying complex information through end-to-end experiences designs while co-creating with all the senior designers for smooth implementation. Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, rools, and technologies and their role in a commercial environment. 1-2 years of relevant experience with a B. DeS/M. Key Responsibilities : Primary responsibilities :- Installation and configuration of MySQL instances on single or multiple ports. Hands-on experience of working with MysQL 5.7 and MySQL 8. Clear understanding of MysQL Replication process flows , threads , setting up multi node clusters and basic troubleshooting. Understanding of at least one of the backup and recovery methods for MySQL . Strong fundamentals of SQL and able to understand and tune complex SQL queries when needed. Strong fundamentals on the linux system side and monitoring tools like top , iostats , sar etc. At Least couple of years of production hands on experience on medium to big sized MySQL databases. Setting up and maintaining users and privileges management system and troubleshooting relevant access issues. Some exposure to external tools like Percona , ProxySQL , HAP etc. Understand the transaction flows and ACID compliance. Basic understanding of networking concepts . Performing on-call support and should be able to provide the first level support . Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong shell scripting skills . Good to have Python .
