We are looking for an energetic Legal Extern who is passionate about gaming to join our Legal team in supporting Wizards’ tabletop and digital games! This position is open to current law students who are eligible to receive academic credit for the externship and are interested in pursuing a career in the games industry. The externship is a part-time hybrid position (up to 10 hours per week) during the school year. What You'll Do: Work with a team of attorneys and legal professionals to navigate the ever evolving world of gaming. Conduct legal research, and document drafting on a broad array of legal matters and projects, which could include areas of antitrust, advertising, data protection and privacy, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, licensing, rights of publicity, business, gaming, and entertainment. Undertake projects related to these areas. Collaborate with business teams and apply legal principles, analysis, and drafting skills to support internal partners regarding complex legal issues in the digital entertainment space. Learn, utilize, and further develop legal operations and process management techniques, technologies, and practices, including with respect to document structure, drafting standards, contract lifecycle management, and legal information technology.
