POSITION SUMMARY: On site position in Pleasanton, CA Clinical Data Operator accessions patient samples according to standard operating procedures (SOP) with high efficiency and accuracy. Shift: Tuesday - Saturday, Day Shift 630am-3pm. Hourly rate starts at $21.77. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Create new orders on Laboratory Inventory Management System (LIMS) and perform necessary checks to ensure proper accessioning. Accession samples with high accuracy and efficiency. Accurately enter patient data into the Laboratory Inventory Management System (LIMS). Ensure that the information in LIMS is up-to-date. Scan test requisition forms and attached paperwork. Ensure that all paperwork belong to patient and upload to case. Protect patient health information (PHI) at all times to ensure compliance with HIPAA and privacy policies. Perform safe and proper handling of samples (blood, buccal, and tissue). Maintain tidiness of workstations and lab. Maintain familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOP) and quality standards determined by the clinical laboratory. Perform safe and proper handling of tools provided to open packages and kit boxes. Sort packages at the dock upon arrival of packages and bring packages up to the lab. This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and have an access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job. Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire. The Accessioning Team Runner collects, sorts, and transports packages to Accessioning laboratory. This position is located on site in our Austin, TX location. Schedules listed below and pay starts at $17. Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 10am-630pm PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Sort and transport packages from the Shipping dock to the Accessioning laboratory. Pick up packages from the receptionist’s desk. Scan all tracking numbers into a Google spreadsheet and ensure that tracking numbers are scanned in correctly and spreadsheet is filled out completely. Distribute packages to the Clinical Data Operators (CDO) in a timely and efficient manner following distribution guidelines. Rack samples that arrive in bulk (without individual kit boxes) ensuring that the paperwork matches up with the samples. Escalate any issues or discrepancies to the Leads or Supervisor. Empty bins filled with kit boxes at the CDO workstations into carts placed at designated locations in the lab. Perform a visual check of the kit boxes to make sure that there is no PHI on the kit boxes or samples remaining in the discarded kit boxes. Empty biohazard cans in the lab. Scan bench worksheets. Scan documents into cases. Maintain tidiness of Runner workstations. Store requisition forms by date into the filing cabinets. Dispose of requisition forms into the shred bins that have exceeded the retention period. Performs other duties as assigned. POSITION SUMMARY Works closely with Senior Manager to ensure company, department, and team goals are met. POSITION SUMMARY: The Supervisor of the clinical laboratory is a member of the Operations Department whose role is to oversee employees' performance and serve as a liaison between employees and senior management to meet company goals and quality objectives. The supervisor is responsible for daily supervision of lab staff performing duties such as laboratory testing and data review. Duties include but are not limited to coaching, motivating, staffing, evaluating, and training staff. The supervisor works closely with the manager to ensure company and team goals are met while adhering to good manufacturing practices and CLIA/CAP guidelines.
