The Credit team at Plaid combines deep product and industry knowledge and is focused on helping both upcoming and well-established lenders take their growth to the next level. Our thesis is that every lender can benefit from leveraging a bespoke Plaid solution, focused on helping them achieve their unique goals and objectives, including approving more borrowers and reducing overall portfolio risk through Plaid’s innovative credit solutions. In this role, you'll be the individual helping us achieve this vision. Your focus will be on engaging a curated list of lenders that don't currently work with Plaid, identifying opportunities to partner, and owning the end-to-end sales process. Additionally, you’ll be working with Plaid's existing lending customers, deeply understanding their business, and aligning our solutions to help them achieve both near and long-term goals. The Team + The Role Pendo’s Customer Engineering team is the technical backbone of the company’s pre- and post-sales customer motion. The team supports growth by bringing technical ownership across the full customer lifecycle, from discovery and evaluation through implementation, adoption, retention, and expansion. As a Customer Engineer, you are the primary technical resource for a portfolio of Commercial accounts. You partner with Account Directors to own discovery, demos, onboarding, technical health, risk, and expansion strategy. You serve as a trusted technical advisor who helps customers drive outcomes with Pendo. This role is based in our Raleigh office. What this looks like day-to-day Customer acquisition: Partner with Account Directors to understand customer pain, business goals, and technical requirements. Craft and deliver demos, define success criteria, guide installation, and lead hands-on technical evaluations and workshops. Technical discovery and implementation: Lead discovery conversations across product stacks, integration environments, and customer goals. Own onboarding for purchased modules, troubleshoot integrations, and answer technical questions related to APIs, data models, configuration, and front-end implementation. Adoption and value: Monitor usage signals, identify low adoption or configuration drift, and act before issues become escalations. Facilitate enablement workshops, support account health planning, and help customers measure and articulate the ROI of Pendo. Retention and expansion: Identify technical expansion paths in your portfolio and hand them to Account Directors with clear deployment plans and business rationale. Support growth opportunities by bringing a strong technical point of view on customer needs, readiness, and value. Risk ownership: Own the technical dimension of account risk, including champion turnover, integration issues, stalled rollouts, and technical blockers. The team owns the systems, infrastructure, automations, and day-to-day support that help Pendonauts work securely, efficiently, and at scale. As Pendo grows, this team plays a critical role in finding smarter, more scalable ways to support the business. As a Senior IT Engineer, you will own key IT infrastructure initiatives, lead Okta administration, build automations that reduce manual work, and support the SaaS tools that power Pendo’s operations. This role goes beyond ticket resolution: you will work hands-on across systems, support, automation, A/V, SaaS administration, and infrastructure improvements while partnering closely with teams across the business. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy and help make Pendo’s IT function more reliable, secure, scalable, and forward-looking. This role is based in our Raleigh office. What this looks like day-to-day Okta administration: Own Okta administration as a core focus area, including SSO application implementation, onboarding and offboarding workflows, SCIM provisioning, and account lifecycle management. Build and maintain clean integrations that make access management seamless and scalable. Automation development: Use tools such as Workato, n8n, Okta Workflows, APIs, and AI tools to eliminate manual work across IT operations. Build automations for user account creation, workflow orchestration, tool integrations, and recurring support patterns. IT support: Resolve helpdesk tickets, troubleshoot network issues, and support A/V setup for meetings and events.
