About the Team Our New Verticals team launched in 2020 with the purpose of delighting our customers and empowering local communities outside of just restaurants. Since then, we’ve launched Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, Retail, and DashMarts while also building merchant services, dasher tooling and consumer products. New Verticals is the growth engine of DoorDash’s business and we are continuing to build and scale new businesses everyday! Grocery is one of our highest priority, most complex verticals that is key to acquiring consumers to new verticals outside of just restaurants. About the Role We are hiring two Associate Manager roles on our Grocery Merchant Strategy & Operations teams to lead high growth segments of the grocery business - mid market and local grocery. In this role you will serve as the general manager of your respective segment – the central owner of the end to end merchant and customer experience to make them successful. Your role will include a mix of managing the day to day success of the segment, while also driving long-range strategic bets that are critical to the portfolio’s success. You will partner closely with product, engineering, finance, analytics and sales / business development to bring these initiatives to life! These roles sit at the intersection of strategy, operations, and product. The best operators today are rapidly generating new ideas, taking ownership over metrics and moving them in the right direction through building product visions, synthesizing complex analyses and testing every idea — all while leveraging AI to uplevel how we operate. From the strategy behind how orders get fulfilled to the product features that make it happen, you’ll sit at the intersection of Strategy, Operations, and Product, working directly with Engineering and Product teams to shape what gets built and own the outcomes end-to-end. Key Responsibilities Partner with Product and Engineering to define requirements, prioritize features, and ship solutions that improve the end-to-end customer experience across DoorDash’s Convenience network. Lead cross-functional initiatives that close the gap between platform inventory and real-world in-store availability, to ensure customers always get exactly what they ordered. About the Team The New Verticals Business Development team is a small, fast-paced, high-performing group responsible for establishing, managing and scaling new lines of business at DoorDash in the retail and logistics space. About the Role As an Associate of Emerging Retail Partnerships , you will support the day-to-day management of our merchant partners and help them grow with DoorDash. This role offers the opportunity to get in at the ground floor of one of DoorDash's fastest-growing new bets, focused on parcel logistics, and to operate at a startup pace with the backing of an established public company.
