About the Team The New Verticals Business Development team is a small, fast-paced, high-performing group responsible for establishing, managing and scaling new lines of business at DoorDash in the retail and logistics space. About the Role As an Associate of Emerging Retail Partnerships , you will support the day-to-day management of our merchant partners and help them grow with DoorDash. This role offers the opportunity to get in at the ground floor of one of DoorDash's fastest-growing new bets, focused on parcel logistics, and to operate at a startup pace with the backing of an established public company. You will report to the Associate Manager of Emerging Retail Partnerships within our Merchant Business Development organization and work closely with account leads and teams across the company. You're excited about this opportunity because you will… Own relationships with leading enterprise retailers and ecommerce logistics providers. Be the day-to-day point of contact for a portfolio of strategic partners, build a deep understanding of their business goals and challenges, and develop creative solutions that drive step-change growth for DoorDash. Lead the conversation. Run merchant calls and business reviews, own the follow-up, and build the presentations and materials that tell the story of the account. Turn insights into growth. Resolve issues using established processes and internal resources, raise concerns early with the facts and a suggested next step, and use playbooks and merchant data to flag negative trends and spot growth opportunities. Flex your negotiating skills. Support upsells, cross-sells, expansions, launches and renewals that create mutually beneficial outcomes for partners and DoorDash. Since then, we’ve launched Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, Retail, and DashMarts while also building merchant services, dasher tooling and consumer products. About the Role Join one of DoorDash’s fastest-growing teams and help define what great looks like for Convenience. From the strategy behind how orders get fulfilled to the product features that make it happen, you’ll sit at the intersection of Strategy, Operations, and Product, working directly with Engineering and Product teams to shape what gets built and own the outcomes end-to-end. Key Responsibilities Partner with Product and Engineering to define requirements, prioritize features, and ship solutions that improve the end-to-end customer experience across DoorDash’s Convenience network. Lead cross-functional initiatives that close the gap between platform inventory and real-world in-store availability, to ensure customers always get exactly what they ordered. Set the strategic roadmap for convenience quality — defining the metrics that matter, building toward a long-term vision, and partnering across the New Verticals Org to get there. Grocery is one of our highest priority, most complex verticals that is key to acquiring consumers to new verticals outside of just restaurants. About the Role We are hiring two Associate Manager roles on our Grocery Merchant Strategy & Operations teams to lead high growth segments of the grocery business - mid market and local grocery. In this role you will serve as the general manager of your respective segment – the central owner of the end to end merchant and customer experience to make them successful. Your role will include a mix of managing the day to day success of the segment, while also driving long-range strategic bets that are critical to the portfolio’s success. You will partner closely with product, engineering, finance, analytics and sales / business development to bring these initiatives to life!
