Job Title: Locum Cath Lab Cardiac Physiologist Banding: Band 6 Location: Aberdeen Working Hours: Full-time Start Date: ASAP Rate: £45 - £50 per hour Duration: Ongoing The Clinical Physiology team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 6 Cath Lab Cardiac Physiologist to join our dynamic team in Aberdeen. This is a full-time, ongoing position offering a competitive hourly rate of £45-£50. What will your responsibilities be? You will perform core duties including Angiography (Angio), Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), and Pressure Wire (PW) assessments. You will assist with pacing implant procedures. You will support structural heart procedures, including Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), if experienced (not essential). Qualifications and Experience: Essential: Strong clinical skills and experience in cardiac pacing and device management. Relevant qualifications and experience as a Cardiac Physiologist. This exciting opportunity is available for an immediate start and offers flexible full-time or part-time hours over a 6-month contract. You will play a key role in providing specialist assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation for patients with communication and swallowing difficulties associated with head and neck cancer. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across the cancer pathway, supporting patients to achieve the best possible outcomes. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Assess, diagnose, and manage adults with communication and swallowing disorders related to head and neck cancer. Deliver evidence-based interventions for patients undergoing surgical, medical, and radiotherapy treatments. Provide pre-operative counselling and post-operative rehabilitation, including voice restoration where appropriate. Work collaboratively with ENT consultants, oncologists, dietitians, specialist nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary team. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with HCPC and local service standards. Contribute to service development and support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
