The Ubiquiti Riga office is looking for a talented and self-driven C++ developer to join a rapidly growing team to focus on next generation features like network device recognition engine leveraging machine learning algorithms for upcoming consumer and enterprise products. We expect you to bring your experience, enthusiasm and creativity wherever you go and put them in the work you do. You should be able to think out of box when finding solutions to problems and make things work when the solution is not straightforward. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Linux-based applications and protocols; Develop and maintain our network device recognition algorithms that are based on machine learning principles; Maintaining and building new VPN-based features and applications; Analyze and solve technical problems within the team related to product. ​​​​​​​ Requirements: 3+ years of development experience with modern C++; Experience working with Haskell and Golang; Development experience with Linux user space applications; Knowledge of Git version control system, Docker, shell, JSON, YAML, etc.; Effective written and verbal communication skills; Experience with AI tools - Claude, Codex, etc; Fluent in English and Latvian. The Position: The Ubiquiti Riga office is looking for a talented and self-driven embedded C/C++ developer. We expect you to bring your experience, enthusiasm and creativity wherever you go and put them in the work you do. You should be able to think out of the box when finding solutions to brand new problems and make things work when the solution is not straightforward. Responsibilities: Work as a part of the global team of firmware, hardware engineers and designers to develop cutting edge networking products and technologies; User space libraries and services development and bug fixing; Integration of 3rd party software into existing device firmware and build system; Maintenance of existing product firmwares; Work closely with HW engineering team to create new products and assist with finding problems in existing HW. Requirements: 3+ years embedded firmware development experience with C/C++; Good understanding of Linux internals; Good knowledge of networking stack and protocols: TCP/UDP, static/dynamic routing; Good knowledge of Linux firewall (i.e. netfilter) and traffic control (i.e. tc); Experience with VPNs: IPSec/OpenVPN/wireguard; Experience with AI tools - Claude, Codex, etc; Knowledge of Git version control system; Fluent in English and Latvian.
