Working at the intersection of hardware, software, and molecular science, Carbon delivers on the promise of 3D printing by helping commercial customers move beyond prototyping to produce real-world parts. Every one of those parts depends on a printer in a customer's factory staying online, up to date, and in perfect two-way conversation with our cloud. We are looking for a Staff Backend Engineer to own the services that live on that seam between our cloud and our global fleet of printers. You will design and build the backend systems that provision, update, and communicate with printers in the field, own major initiatives end to end, and set a high bar for how we build Linux-based systems that have to be right the first time, on hardware we can not physically touch. You will: Own the Services Behind the Fleet: Be a core owner of the backend services that manage printer identity, connectivity, provisioning, updates, and telemetry. You will keep them resilient and highly available as our fleet grows, and drive the design of new services that unlock new device capabilities. Build the Linux Layer Underneath: Design and improve how our printers come up, install, and update, from initial bring-up through in-field OS updates and rollbacks. You will bring deep Linux fundamentals to bear on real problems in the field, where "reinstall the machine" is not an option. Every one of those parts starts with a print job that flows through our cloud, so the infrastructure that runs it has to be fast, safe, and boringly reliable. We are looking for a Staff Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer to join a small, high-trust platform team that owns the foundations everything else at Carbon runs on: our AWS and GCP footprints, the networks that connect our cloud to printers in the field, the Terraform that describes all of it, and the CI/CD pipelines that ship software to production. You will be a core owner of that platform, drive substantial initiatives across it end to end, and raise the engineering bar for how we build and operate cloud infrastructure at Carbon. You will: Operate & Extend Multi-Cloud Infrastructure: Be a core owner of our AWS and GCP environments that host our Tier-0 services, keeping them resilient, cost-efficient, and secure while extending them to support the next generation of Carbon products. About the role We are hiring a Commercial Counsel for our legal team. In this role, you will be a partner to the business on general commercial matters and will negotiate the contracts that contribute to Chime’s success – from our biggest deals, to the bread and butter contracts that companies need to operate. You have outstanding professional judgment and excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and drafting skills. You have the ability to anticipate and deliver on the needs of a dynamic and creative business, are eager to work with cross-functional teams, have the flexibility to manage a wide range of projects, and are comfortable advising senior business leaders. You are located within commuting distance to one of our hubs: San Francisco, Chicago, or New York City. In this role, you can expect to: Work closely with the business to provide strategic guidance and negotiate, draft and review a broad range of commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, strategic partnership agreements, NDAs, marketing agreements (e.g. talent agreements, production services agreements, Ad-Tech agreements), technology vendor contracts, and professional services agreements Use AI tools as a regular part of your work, including for drafting, contract review, research, and summarization, while applying sound legal judgment to verify and refine the output Proactively work to streamline and improve current processes and procedures, such as by creating templates and developing legal trainings and playbooks Build and refine AI-enabled workflows and processes that help the legal team and the business work faster and more efficiently Develop strong, collaborative relationships cross-functionally and within the legal team, including with subject matter experts in intellectual property, security, and privacy Escalate issues, as appropriate, to other legal team members and collaboratively share potential risks and proposals with the executive team To thrive in this role, yo
