Construction Superintendent, Power Generation - Memphis

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today, SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of making life multiplanetary and expanding consciousness to the stars. SpaceXSI is building Super Intelligence to help humanity understand the universe. Our teams are building the full Super Intelligence stack: from our Colossus supercomputers, to Grok models, to our suite of applications, including Grok Bot, Grok Build, Grok Imagine, Grok Voice, and X. We're creating a powerful flywheel where more compute trains better models, better models power more useful products, and what we learn from people using those products shapes what we build next. ABOUT THE ROLE: You will oversee electrical contractors and crews building electrical infrastructure for SpaceXSI's Memphis Data Center — including underground duct banks, high-voltage and medium-voltage systems, power distribution, grounding, lighting, and process power for mission-critical facilities. If you thrive on hands-on leadership, complex industrial electrical construction, and contributing to high-impact AI infrastructure, join us to help deliver one of the most advanced data centers in the world. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Memphis, Tennessee, with relocation required depending on additional construction locations within the US. RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee and coordinate electrical installations including underground duct banks, conduits, cable pulling, terminations, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, PDUs, and grounding for SpaceXSI Data Centers. Manage and schedule electrical contractors, subcontractors, and on-site crews to deliver project milestones on time and to SpaceXSI's exacting quality and reliability standards. Ensure all contractors adhere to electrical scope, delivering high-integrity power systems critical to data center upti

SpaceXSI's mission is to create AI systems that can accurately understand the universe and aid humanity in its pursuit of knowledge. Our team is small, highly motivated, and focused on engineering excellence. This organization is for individuals who appreciate challenging themselves and thrive on curiosity. We operate with a flat organizational structure. All employees are expected to be hands-on and to contribute directly to the company’s mission. Leadership is given to those who show initiative and consistently deliver excellence. Work ethic and strong prioritization skills are important. All employees are expected to have strong communication skills. They should be able to concisely and accurately share knowledge with their teammates. We're creating a powerful flywheel where more compute trains better models, better models power more useful products, and what we learn from people using those products shapes what we build next. ABOUT THE ROLE: Develop, maintain, and communicate construction schedules that the field, subcontractors, and leadership can actually use. You will build CPM baselines, update them from real progress, flag risk early, and explain schedule impact of changes, delays, and recovery plans. This is not a data-entry role. You need enough means-and-methods knowledge to challenge a sequence that will not work in the field. Superintendents run the work; project managers own cost and contracts; the scheduler is the person who can tell you what is actually driving the end date, what slips if a trade is late, and whether a recovery plan is real. RESPONSIBILITIES: Build baseline CPM schedules from drawings, specs, estimates, bid packages, and construction sequences (WBS, activity coding, logic, calendars, and constraints used sparingly and correctly). Maintain the live schedule: collect progress from superintendents, project managers, and trades; update percent complete, remaining duration, and logic; publish a clean current-period update on a set cadence (typically weekly look-aheads and monthly official updates). Own the critical path. Identify near-critical work, float erosion, and out-of-
