Overseeing medical staff appraisals, revalidation, and performance management, addressing clinical or behavioural concerns collaboratively. Providing strategic and operational leadership as part of the Senior Management Team, ensuring healthcare policy, clinical governance, and best practice standards are implemented and maintained. Ensuring effective medical cover, including robust arrangements for out-of-hours and annual leave. Leading clinical investigations, complaints, and crisis management, working with senior clinical leadership to resolve issues and drive improvements. The post-holder will manage a broad caseload of NHS-referred patients across the full scope of outpatient and minor surgical oral surgery, working closely with local referring dental practitioners, the BSW ICB, and the wider specialist dental network.
