Data Center Mechanical Engineer

About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role As a Repairs Lead within the Data Center Infrastructure organization, you will define and manage the end-to-end hardware repair program across Anthropic's growing fleet of data centers. You will be accountable for repair turnaround time and the compute returned to service across every site, covering server, GPU/accelerator, network, and optics break-fix, RMA and reverse logistics with OEMs and ODMs, and the spares and repair inventory that keeps repair SLAs achievable. As a subject matter expert in hardware operations, you will develop scalable repair processes and quality targets, set the standards that site operations partners and repair vendors execute against, and turn failure trends into fixes which are driven upstream with engineering and equipment partners. If you are experienced in at-scale datacenter hardware operations, are passionate about HPC data centers, & enjoy working in complex, fast-paced environments, we welcome you to apply. Responsibilities Include: Define the global repair strategy including repair SLAs, prioritization rules, escalation paths, and reporting methods, and drive standardization across all sites. Own repair turnaround time and repair backlog across the fleet evidenced by Anthropic-owned ticket and telemetry dashboards you help develop. Author and improve procedures for triage, break-fix, return-to-service validation, and train site operations partners on how to execute them. Manage RMA and reverse logistics programs with OEMs, ODMs, and depot repair vendors, including warranty claims, return cycle times, and failure analysis feedback. Set spares pool sizing and stocking levels by s

Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role As a Manufacturing Engineer within the Data Center Infrastructure organization, you will own how Anthropic's servers, racks, and accelerator systems are built at our contract manufacturing and ODM partners. You will design and qualify the assembly, integration, and test processes for each product, bring up new lines and new sites, and drive yield, cycle time, and manufacturing cost once a product is in production. As a subject matter expert in electronics and rack-level manufacturing, you will give the design team early manufacturability feedback, set the process standards our partners build to, and be on the floor when a line is coming up or a yield problem needs solving. If you have built manufacturing processes for complex hardware at a CM or ODM, are passionate about HPC data centers, & enjoy working in complex, fast-paced environments, we welcome you to apply. This is a hands-on role with up to 50% travel to partner factories in the US and abroad. You should be as comfortable addressing issues on the line as you are presenting a vendor improvement plan to leadership. Responsibilities Include: Design and document the assembly, rack integration, and test process for new server and rack products, including work instructions, process flows, takt and cycle time targets, and line layout. Lead new line and new site bring-up at CM/ODM partners, from process validation and capacity verification through pilot builds and release to mass production. Specify, source, and validate tooling, fixtures, and test equipment. Own first-pass yield, cycle time, and process capability in production; run SPC, analyze failure and rework

Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role Anthropic is building AI systems that will shape the trajectory of one of the most consequential technologies in human history. That work requires physical infrastructure at significant scale, and building that infrastructure the right way means being a real, long-term partner to the communities where we operate. We are looking for a Community Engagement Manager in New York to join our Public Policy team and serve as Anthropic's on-the-ground presence in the communities where our data centers are sited, built, and operated. This is not a communications role or a government affairs role, though you will do elements of both. It is a relationship role: your job is to make Anthropic a trusted, visible, and valued neighbor, from the earliest stages of site selection through construction and long-term operations. You will be the connective tissue between Anthropic's Policy and Infrastructure teams and the local officials, community organizations, economic development partners, and residents who have a stake in what we build. You will surface concerns before they escalate, translate our technical and operational plans into clear local benefits, and build the coalitions that allow us to move quickly and responsibly. Because Anthropic's infrastructure footprint is still early in its growth, you will also help write the playbook: the processes you build in your first markets are the ones we will use as we expand. You will travel regularly across New York State, including upstate communities, up to 50% of the time, and occasionally to other Anthropic data center markets.
