The Role Mach Industries is seeking a New Graduate Electrical & Avionics Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and testing of electrical systems for next-generation autonomous defense platforms. In this role, you will work across circuit-board design, avionics, power distribution, communications, vehicle harnessing, and hardware testing to take systems from early prototypes through flight-ready production hardware. You will collaborate closely with mechanical, software, systems, manufacturing, and test engineers to rapidly build, troubleshoot, and validate reliable electrical systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who wants broad technical ownership, learns quickly, and is excited to build critical hardware in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Design and develop electrical and avionics systems for autonomous aircraft, missiles, propulsion systems, and related defense platforms. Support schematic capture, component selection, PCB layout, stack-up design, and board bring-up. Design circuits incorporating microcontrollers, high- and low-speed communication buses, analog and digital interfaces, sensors, power distribution, EMI protection, and ESD protection. The Role Mach's Summer 2027 Engineering Internship, Electrical is open for future engineers and builders who want to work with us. This is a paid, in-person, 12-week internship. Depending on your background and team placement, you might work on: Electrical design — circuit design, power electronics, PCB/PCBA development, and electrical architectures for next-generation systems PCBA development — schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, board bring-up, debugging, and design for manufacturing Embedded systems — firmware, microcontrollers, real-time systems, sensors, and interfaces for hardware platforms Prototyping & manufacturing — building, assembling, reworking, and iterating on electrical hardware from prototype through production Testing & validation — developing test setups, running experiments, analyzing data, and validating electrical systems under demanding conditions Power & controls — power distribution, motor control, sensing, signal conditioning, and control systems Systems integration — integrating electrical hardware with mechanical, embedded, autonomous, and other system components Engineering too

The Role As a member of the engineering team, you will take a lead role in the development of next-generation defense technologies, including but not limited to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles, and advanced weapon systems. You’ll regularly interact with senior leadership to influence fundamental operation of our platforms while collaborating with electrical, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to steer this project from initial conception to manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Design of advanced RF front ends and transceivers in support of next generation products including phased arrays, transmitters, and receivers. Mastery and expertise of RF components such as matching networks, filter synthesis, LNAs, Mixers, VGA, PLL/Synthesizers, and VCOs. Design, schematic capture, and PCB layout of RF transceivers and High-Speed circuits. Utilize best practice and strategies to minimize and troubleshoot EMI/RFI issues.
