The Role Capco is seeking an experienced Regional Energy Lead & Client Partner to establish and grow our Utilities consulting business across the East coast/Midwest U.S. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a commercially driven consulting Partner who combines deep Energy & Utilities expertise with a proven ability to develop client relationships, originate new business, and lead large-scale transformation engagements. You will be responsible for building and managing a portfolio of strategic client accounts, developing market presence, leading complex pursuits, and growing a high-performing consulting team. As the regional leader, you will own both commercial success and client delivery, ensuring exceptional outcomes for our clients while contributing to the continued expansion of Capco's global Energy Practice. What You'll Do Drive the growth of Capco's Utilities business by developing executive relationships, identifying new opportunities, and leading complex sales pursuits across the Northeast U.S. Own a portfolio of strategic client accounts, taking responsibility for revenue growth, commercial performance, client satisfaction, and overall P&L. Build, lead, and develop a high-performing consulting team through hiring, mentoring, performance management, and talent development. Lead the successful delivery of consulting engagements, ensuring quality execution, commercial success, and alignment between client expectations and Capco's delivery capabilities. About the Role The Energy Regulatory Lead will own energy regulatory strategy and execution for OpenAI’s infrastructure growth. This role will be the primary bridge between the Power Execution team and Public Policy and Government Affairs on energy regulatory matters, ensuring that OpenAI’s external engagement is grounded in project realities and that changing policy and regulatory conditions are translated into actionable infrastructure decisions. This is an individual contributor lead role and does not have direct reports initially. The role combines portfolio-level regulatory positioning with transactional regulatory work: evaluating jurisdictional pathways, supporting utility and energy transactions, coordinating approvals and filings, and helping project teams navigate tariffs, interconnection, load-service requirements, market rules, and regulatory risk from diligence through execution. In this role, you will: Develop and maintain OpenAI’s energy regulatory strategy across priority U.S. markets and, as needed, emerging geographies for infrastructure expansion. About the Role The Power Trading Lead will own commodity hedging strategy and execution across OpenAI’s data center power portfolio. This role will translate large, dynamic electricity and fuel exposures into practical hedging, procurement, and risk-management strategies that protect infrastructure economics while preserving flexibility for growth. This is an individual contributor lead role and does not have direct reports initially. The role will work across power markets, utility tariffs, retail and wholesale supply structures, natural gas and power hedges, renewable and clean firm products, and portfolio risk analytics to support long-term compute growth. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain OpenAI’s commodity hedging strategy across electricity, natural gas, and related energy exposures for data center operations and growth. Quantify portfolio exposure by market, site, load shape, tenor, tariff, and supply structure, and translate that exposure into clear hedging recommendations. Evaluate and execute hedging structures including fixed-price supply, forwards, swaps, options, retail supply products, congestion and basis risk mitigation, and related instruments where appropriate.
