The Okta Identity Governance Team Okta Identity Governance (OIG) is Okta's Identity Governance and Administration solution, responsible for some of the most critical and visible workflows in enterprise identity: how people request access, how approvers grant it, how entitlements are enforced, and how organizations prove to auditors that only the right people have the right access. About the team The Mission: Lead the engineering team building the Requirements Management API and infrastructure that enables Stripe to collect, explain, track, and resolve risk requirements throughout the user lifecycle from onboarding through ongoing monitoring. This work makes Risk reusable across products, markets, and user types, while helping Stripe expand regulated financial products without rebuilding compliance and risk workflows for each new use case. The Scale: The team’s interfaces and standards influence how requirements are created and fulfilled across Risk, Onboarding, and product integrations—not just a single product experience. This requires broad cross-team influence across 6+ teams. It is currently 6 people and actively hiring. The Complexity: This role has technical complexity in both API design and system scalability / reliability. The underlying system is used broadly across all of Stripe, serves a high volume of traffic, and has critical SLOs backing meaningful user-facing APIs. About the team The newly formed Conversation Platform team aims to build a conversation platform for all merchants who use Stripe. We are doing so by (a) automating the easy tasks, and (b) assisting our users in the difficult tasks. We are developing RAG based systems on the latest LLMs as well as fine-tuning our own models. We’re an end-to-end team going from ideas to models to shipping in production.
