The Role The Critical Facility Shift Technician is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mission-critical infrastructure within the data center. This role covers all aspects of energy isolation, switch activity, and facility rounds, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures. The Critical Facility Technician reports directly to the Critical Facility Shift Manager and works as part of a larger team that strives for excellence through teamwork and accountability. This is a shift-based role requiring flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a 24/7 operations team. Main responsibilities Operations & Rounds Conduct scheduled and unscheduled facility rounds, inspecting all critical systems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire/life safety, and security) for proper operation and signs of abnormality. Monitor Building Management System (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS), and other automation platforms for alarms and alerts; respond promptly per SOPs. Maintain accurate logs of alarms, operational events, isolations, and shift activities. Ensure all Statuory PPM workorders are completed ontime and any resulting actions are logged and tracked and remediated in good time . About the Role You will serve as the site Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) lead for Yondr’s operational data center campus in Aldie, Virginia. Working closely with the site operations team and the broader HSE function, you will provide day-to-day HSE leadership, technical expertise and assurance while supporting Operations in the safe and reliable management of a mission critical environment. You will lead the local implementation of Yondr’s HSE management system and regional and global HSE programs while helping build strong HSE capability and ownership across the campus. In this role, you will work closely with Yondr Operations, facility management teams, vendors, and contractors to identify and manage HSE risk across campus activities. You will provide practical guidance, verify the effectiveness of critical controls, and appropriately challenge or intervene when risk is not adequately controlled. About the Role As a Technical SME , you are responsible for all electrical, controls, and mechanical assets in the data center. Because the data center is a highly critical environment, the stakes are high and you will have an important stake in the fulfilling of the Yondr operational tasks. To enable you to fulfil this responsibility, you will be involved in the design and acceptance of new data centers, defining the maintenance regime for your assets, approving operational procedures for the maintenance and incident management as well as auditing the completion thereof. About the Role As the Operations Engineer - Electrical, AMER you are responsible for critical electrical assets within our regional data centers, ensuring the optimal availability of our technical services and electrical assets throughout their lifecycle, taking into consideration health, safety, environment, costs, investments, and customer requirements. Main Responsibilities This position will have overall responsibility for all electrical aspects of our regional data centers including, but not limited to, planned and corrective maintenance, technical documentation, review of proposed operational procedures, initial analysis of in-service failures, associated project work, and overall system health. The Operations Engineer - Electrical is responsible for leading small to medium-scale projects and the rollout of engineering initiatives.
