Okta is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer in Test for our UI Engineering team. As a senior member of product quality engineering, you will own the test framework and quality strategy for our frontend and platform surfaces, ensuring every UI release meets the highest bar for functional correctness, visual consistency, accessibility, and global usability. The ideal candidate has deep experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, has designed and scaled UI test frameworks, and has a track record of setting technical direction across teams rather than just executing within one. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Design and own scalable UI test architecture and frameworks used across multiple frontend teams Build and maintain cross-browser (CB) and visual regression testing (VRT) suites to catch UI regressions before release Establish automated and manual accessibility (a11y/WCAG) testing practices integrated into CI Design and maintain localization/globalization (L10n/G11n) test coverage across locales, languages, and RTL layouts Ensure out-of-the-box (OOB) configurations and default behaviors are verified across all supported environments Review requirements and design specs to develop test plans and test strategy for platform-level and frontend initiatives Work with engineering management to scope and plan cross-team quality engineering efforts Clearly communicate and document QE architecture and plans for scrum teams to review and adopt Respond to Product

About the Role: Okta is looking for a highly skilled Globalization Engineer to be the technical backbone of our global digital operations. You will be responsible for owning, building, and optimizing the automation and technology stack that powers our localization team. This is a hands-on role for an experienced technical expert who is passionate about building robust, scalable systems. You will leverage your deep expertise in APIs, AI, and internationalization to solve complex technical challenges and drive efficiency. As a subject matter expert, you will also act as a key technical consultant to internal teams, helping them prepare content for a global audience. What you'll be doing: Build and Own the Localization Automation Framework: Design, develop, and maintain the core automation workflows for our content lifecycle using agentic workflows, Python and APIs, connecting our TMS with content sources, repositories, and other internal tools. Spearhead AI and Technology Integration: Research, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge localization technologies, including AI/LLM-based solutions and advanced TMS features, to improve the quality, speed, and cost-effectiveness of our workflows.
