Job description
About the Team
At Trendyol Core Commerce, we build innovative, data-driven strategies that power sustainable growth and global expansion.
From seller experience to new market launches, we turn insights into action—fast. Our cross-functional teams shape the future of commerce with bold ideas, real-time impact, and a deep sense of ownership. In a fast-paced, collaborative environment, we grow together — as individuals and as a team.
The Romania Marketplace Development Lead will coordinate the outsourced seller-development operation responsible for driving the growth of small and medium-sized sellers on Trendyol. Operating as a hands-on individual contributor, the ideal candidate will connect local market intelligence, category priorities, and commercial goals with disciplined frontline execution. This role monitors partner performance standards, guides external agency teams, and translates marketplace benchmarking into scalable seller-growth initiatives. Highly commercial and data-driven, the Lead will exercise clear ownership over measurable seller and marketplace performance outcomes without direct internal line-management responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and guide the Romania E-commerce Consultancy outsourced team, setting clear objectives, productivity standards, quality expectations, and coaching routines.
Own seller segmentation and prioritization, focusing agency resources on small and medium-sized sellers with the highest growth potential.
Build and run performance-management cadences, using dashboards and root-cause evaluations to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
Partner with Category and Commercial teams to translate business priorities into seller-level growth plans covering catalog selection, pricing, campaigns, and visibility.
Conduct regular local marketplace and competitor benchmarking, turning market insights into practical initiatives and commercial recommendations.
Develop scalable playbooks for seller activation, engagement, retention, and growth, balancing volume expansion with sustainable seller quality.
Represent the E-commerce Consultancy function in cross-functional forums, aligning stakeholders on priorities and providing data-backed updates on performance, risks, and opportunities.
Expected Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
Experience in e-commerce, digital marketplace operations, commercial account management, or agency management.
Proven track record as a high-performing individual contributor with an ability to connect daily operational activity to GMV growth, seller quality, and marketplace expansion.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate, coach, and guide outsourced or remote account management teams without direct authority.
Analytical capability to interpret performance data, build tracking dashboards, and translate metrics into actionable growth plans.
Stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate across Category, Commercial, Operations, and senior leadership teams.
Deep knowledge of the Romanian e-commerce market, local customer behaviors, and regional competitor dynamics.
Strong command of English and fluent Romanian, both written and spoken.
