Develop and operate high-performance distributed systems with strong guarantees around correctness, latency, and scalability. Build real-time and historical analytics services supporting pricing, risk, and global market data workflows. Design and maintain time-aware (historical and real-time) data models and services, ensuring consistency across analytics use cases. Develop and integrate derived data pipelines and datasets used in research, backtesting, and production analytics. WHAT YOU’LL DO • Lead the design, development, and evolution of a production C++ analytics library used across the our macro business • Build and maintain pricing, calibration, curve construction, scenario, valuation, and risk analytics for macro products and related derivatives • Extend the existing C++ analytics library and deliver major new components that improve architecture, performance, consistency, and long-term extensibility • Translate quantitative models and analytical requirements into robust, high-performance, and maintainable C++ library components • Partner with quantitative researchers, traders, risk users, and technology partners to understand requirements and deliver robust C++ library capabilities • Provide technical judgment on library design, architecture, performance, interface design, and maintainability • Contribute to releases, production support, and performance improvements for production analytics •

About the Team: A well-established quantitative portfolio management team at Point72 is looking for an experienced quantitative professional in the intraday to mid frequency systematic macro space. The candidate will be given the resources and support to drive the build out and expansion of the quantitative macro business. ROLE We're seeking an investment analyst to join a discretionary macro team focused on liquid credit. RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct rigorous fundamental bottom up credit research to identify attractive long/short investment opportunities. This will entail credit analysis, financial modelling, documentation reviews, etc. Analyze businesses and capital structures (loans, bonds, CDS) across Distressed, High Yield, and High Grade credit markets and develop credit opinions. Synthesize market information and develop thematic trade ideas across sectors. Develop differentiated investment views from consensus and push conviction or contrarian viewpoints. Monitor existing positions, including news-flow, fundamental developments, and supply. Engage and maintain external relationships (sell-side research, syndicate, company management, ratings agencies) to develop views on issuers. REQUIREMENTS 3-6 years of experience in credit research or trading on the buy-side or sell-side, ideally as a desk analyst or trader. Experience building full three statement models (forward/backward), including all key KPIs. Direct experience reviewing credit agreements and bond indentures in order to understand corporate balance sheet flexibility. Prior industry specific focus and experience preferred.
