Every day, tens of millions of people come to Roblox to explore, create, play, learn, and connect with friends in 3D immersive digital experiences– all created by our global community of developers and creators. At Roblox, we’re building the tools and platform that empower our community to bring any experience that they can imagine to life. Our vision is to reimagine the way people come together, from anywhere in the world, and on any device. We’re on a mission to connect a billion people with optimism and civility, and looking for amazing talent to help us get there. A career at Roblox means you’ll be working to shape the future of human interaction, solving unique technical challenges at scale, and helping to create safer, more civil shared experiences for everyone. As a Senior Backend Engineer on the User Communities team, you’ll own the backend systems that power social engagement features (Announcements, Forums, Polls, Roles & Permissions systems) for millions of players and creators on Roblox. Your day-to-day will focus on building and scaling the infrastructure that makes both in-experience and on-platform communication and player engagement fast, safe, and reliable. That means driving architectural decisions, reasoning through trade-offs, influencing stakeholders, championing user-first safety standards, and defining developer-facing APIs so creators can build richer experiences. You'll work closely with frontend and backend engineers, product, design, and data scientists across teams, and you'll have real influence over our technical and product direction. If you're an experienced engineer who gets excited about large-scale distributed systems and wants to shape the way millions of people connect inside virtual worlds, we'd love to talk. You Will: Shape the backend engineering culture across the Communities team. Your influence extends beyond your immediate pod to improve how we build, review, and ship software across the entire org. ABOUT BASETEN Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F , led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to to ship AI products. THE ROLE Baseten is seeking talented and experienced Software Engineers to join our Platform team within the Infrastructure organization. As a senior member of Baseten's Platform Team, you will own the systems that let every engineer at Baseten prove their code works before it reaches production. Our product runs mission-critical AI inference for customers who measure downtime in dollars per second, which means our internal bar for correctness, performance, and failure tolerance has to be exceptional. Your focus is the full testing stack: fast and reliable unit test tooling, integration harnesses that spin up realistic environments on demand, load and performance testing for GPU-backed inference workloads, and resilience testing that deliberately breaks things so our customers never have to find out what happens when a node dies mid-request. This is a builder role with org-wide leverage. You won't be writing tests for other teams — you'll be building the frameworks, harnesses, and feedback loops that make writing good tests the path of least resistance, and you'll set the standards for what "well-tested" means at Baseten. RESPONSIBILITIES Own Baseten's testing strategy end to end — define the standards, the tiers, and the tooling that engineering teams build against. Build and maintain unit, integration, load and performance testing frameworks Design end to end test infrastructure that provisions realistic dependencies

At Vanta, our mission is to help businesses earn and prove trust. We believe that security should be monitored and verified continuously, and we empower companies to practice better security and prove it with ease. Vanta has a kind and talented team, and while some have prior security experience, many have been successful at Vanta without it. Vanta’s Developer Experience team builds the tools engineers use every day to bring ideas to production rapidly and reliably. You’ll empower other Vanta engineers to leverage cutting-edge technologies and best practices to make Vanta more performant and scalable on a platform level. Example projects include modernizing our CI/CD pipelines, introducing new test frameworks, launching AI-powered dev tools, and scaling developer environments to support a growing engineering team. This team has a wide breadth of impact across all of product engineering. The work we do compounds in value by making it easier for engineers to diagnose and solve bugs, streamline workflows, and ship value to our customers quickly and safely. Vanta engineers design and develop new product functionality and infrastructure leveraging modern frameworks and tooling, including TypeScript, React, Node.js, MongoDB, Github Actions, and various AWS services such as Fargate and ECS.
