The Role Mach Industries is seeking a New Graduate Flight Test & Operations Engineer to support the testing and operation of next-generation autonomous defense platforms. This position spans our Flight Test and Flight Operations organizations, providing exposure to flight-test engineering, test planning, vehicle operations, field testing, and mission execution. You will work closely with flight operations, systems, GNC, software, avionics, and energetics engineers to plan and safely execute test campaigns. This role is ideal for a hands-on, highly organized engineer who wants to work directly with aircraft, spend time in the field, and help take developing systems from initial ground tests through flight. Key Responsibilities Support the planning and execution of ground and flight-test operations for unmanned aircraft systems. Develop test plans, procedures, concepts of operations, test cards, readiness-review materials, and post-test reports. Coordinate test activities across flight operations, systems, GNC, avionics, software, energetics, and other engineering teams. The Role Mach Industries is seeking a Test Instrumentation Engineer to own the external data capture architecture for flight tests across our autonomous UAS platforms. This role is responsible for the systems around the vehicle that tell us what actually happened during a test, including high-speed video, drone footage, external sensors, range instrumentation, and precise time synchronization between those sources and vehicle telemetry. This is a hands-on field engineering role for someone who can design, deploy, troubleshoot, and validate multi-source capture systems in dynamic range environments. You will support the full test lifecycle, including planning, readiness reviews, dry runs, day-of-test execution, and post-test data handoff. Because Mach develops low-cost, rapidly iterated UAS platforms, external instrumentation is often critical to failure analysis and engineering decision-making. The Flight Test Engineer will develop test procedures, configure instrumentation, support test execution, evaluate results, and document whether test objectives were achieved. This position will also advise on munitions safety and weapon system cybersecurity evaluation methods to ensure both test range accessibility and operational use are approved by the appropriate entities.
