As Senior Director, Celonis Services for our EMEA Center of Excellence, you will lead the Madrid CoE as the engine of AI-augmented delivery and the home of deep technical, product, and AI expertise across Celonis Services EMEA/JAPAC. This role is part of the EMEA/JAPAC Services leadership team, reporting to the SVP Services, EMEA/JAPAC. This is a deliberately broad role: you will lead both the innovation side of the CoE — AI-led delivery, new product rollout, reusable assets — and its delivery operations side — capacity, utilisation, and delivery excellence — through your leaders and managers. Comfort operating across that full range is essential and you will need to demonstrate a combination of strategic long-term thinking and practical operational execution on a daily basis. You will lead the CoE Managers as well as a group of Principal Deployment Engineers and Deployment Architects, and, through them, a team of thirty+ Deployment Engineers and Deployment Architects that support our business across EMEA/JAPAC. What is The Role The Context Engine team builds the knowledge layer that AI agents use to work with enterprise data in Elasticsearch. We extract knowledge from any data sources into a structured AI Index, serve it to agents through public APIs, MCP tools and framework integrations, and close the loop with agent traces so that what the engine knows improves from real usage. Any agent can use it: Elastic’s own Agent Builder, Claude Code, LangChain and other third-party harnesses. As a Principal AI Engineer, you own the improvement loop of this product end to end: how agents, automations and skills behave in production, how we observe them, how we evaluate them, and how we ship changes to them safely. This is a hybrid role at the intersection of engineering, data science, and product. You will write production code, design evaluation and telemetry that product decisions can rest on, and set the technical bar for how the team iterates on agentic behaviour. You will work alongside data scientists, backend engineers, product, and UX, and your work will show up directly in what customers build on top of Elastic. We're looking for a Tech Principal to lead technical strategy and execution on our most ambitious product work: lighthouse projects inside Thoughtworks' global Customer Experience, Product and Design team. Here's the shape of it. A client arrives with a big idea and not much time. Within a few days, you've helped them turn it into a concept everyone agrees on. Within a few weeks, there's something real that customers can actually use and react to. Within a quarter, it's live. Then you do it again, somewhere else in the world, with a different team, and you leave both of them better at it than they were before. If you have built a career integrating strategy, architecture, AI engineering, and executive collaboration, this role offers an ideal platform to leverage those skills. The approach you'd be leading: We call it 3/3/3 3 days: Product concept. Everyone aligned on scope, objectives and how we'll measure success. 3 weeks: Working prototype. Desirability, viability and feasibility tested with real users. 3 months: MLP launch. A production-grade minimum lovable product, ready to keep evolving. Think of it as a reference tempo rather than a fixed schedule. The sequence is what we believe in: align quickly, get real evidence early, put something usable in front of customers while the idea is still current. A regulated platform with a heavy integration surface won't run like a greenfield mobile app, and reading the difference is part of the job. AI runs through all of it, and not as a feature we add at the end.
