What Is The Role : Billing powers Elastic's Cloud business. It runs across AWS, GCP, and Azure in over 50 regions. We oversee usage-based metering, consumption billing, and marketplace integrations at global scale. The Billing Core team owns the data layer that makes billing correct, auditable, and automated. We work across two areas: Usage — Collect and process usage and cost data. This data is the foundation of our billing and financial reporting. Engine — Turn hourly usage data into customer invoices and revenue records. We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to drive technical direction within the Billing Core domain. This is a hands-on role. You will design systems, improve how we operate, and work across teams. You will help our billing services grow in scale, reliability, and developer productivity. You will work closely with Product, SRE, and Cloud Infrastructure teams. What You Will Be Doing : Own complex billing and account management systems that span multiple services and cloud providers. Build large-scale data pipelines for billing data ingestion, transformation, and reconciliation. Improve observability, incident response, and reliability of core billing systems using modern DevOps practices. Shape system architecture for scale and modularity. Replit is the agentic software creation platform that enables anyone to build applications using natural language. With millions of users worldwide, Replit is democratizing software development by removing traditional barriers to application creation. About the Role: This is a Principal Product Engineering role focused on Money Infrastructure at Replit. You’ll work on the financial backbone that powers how Replit earns money, how builders earn money, and how Agents transact. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and the business. The systems you build directly impact revenue, trust, and some of the most critical user journeys on the platform. Getting them right enables growth, experimentation, and global scale. Getting them wrong creates broken payments, confusing pricing, and lost trust. We’re looking for engineers who can design and scale reliable financial systems while translating complex monetary logic into intuitive, user-friendly experiences for both Replit customers and builders on the platform. We love folks who have a passion for monetizing innovation and being a part of the greater pricing story. You will: Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of Replit’s core money infrastructure, spanning pricing, billing, payments, and monetization. Own and scale the global order-to-cash foundation supporting credit-based subscriptions, usage-based billing, marketplaces, in-app payments, and commerce for Agents. Enable rapid pricing and packaging experimentation across the company by building flexible abstractions and APIs for new SKUs, plans, and monetization models. Build high-converting, localized payment experiences across geographies — thinking globally while enabling users to pay locally. Power builder monetization by creating payment rails for apps, Agents, subscriptions, and new monetization primitives. Partner closely on data specifications with finance, accounting, and data teams to produce accurate, auditable, and reliable f

What Is The Role : The Platform Engineering Productivity team operates the CI, CD, and Release infrastructure for the company. We ensure developers can efficiently and safely deploy changes across our various environments and at scale. In an age of AI, the landscape is evolving rapidly from scaling needs to, more than ever, securing our supply chain. There are interesting challenges to tackle. We're looking for a proactive systems thinker who delivers on business-driven projects while identifying and driving the work that keeps our infrastructure ahead before scaling and security challenges become problems. If you're energized by work that makes every engineering team at Elastic ship faster and more securely, we'd love to hear from you. What You Will Be Doing : Define the roadmap and technical vision for CI/CD, from problem identification through org-wide adoption. Identify where CI/CD is a bottleneck, a source of friction, or a security risk before it becomes an incident, and drive the remediation rather than waiting to be assigned it. Design and enforce release gates covering supply chain integrity, artifact provenance, and release readiness, built to scale across teams without becoming a tax on engineering velocity.
