Role / Experience: We are looking for exceptional students to be our quantitative researcher interns for the summer of 2027 . Our typical intern candidates come from quantitative PhD programs of top US universities. Our internship program offers unique KEPL experience. During the internship, our interns will receive rigorous and comprehensive trainings. They will develop strong research skills through working closely with our full-time researchers on brand new quant trading models with real-world impact. JOB DESCRIPTION Researchers are responsible for applying, adapting, and extending existing results in the broad field of machine learning, while also conducting novel research as required. We are interested in all aspects of ML including: predictive modelling, clustering, time series analysis, natural language processing, and computer vision. The ideal candidate will have strong machine learning, data science and software engineering skills, some experience with modern NLP, and a curiosity about finance and trading. WHAT YOU’LL DO • Lead the design, development, and evolution of a production C++ analytics library used across the our macro business • Build and maintain pricing, calibration, curve construction, scenario, valuation, and risk analytics for macro products and related derivatives • Extend the existing C++ analytics library and deliver major new components that improve architecture, performance, consistency, and long-term extensibility • Translate quantitative models and analytical requirements into robust, high-performance, and maintainable C++ library components • Partner with quantitative researchers, traders, risk users, and technology partners to understand requirements and deliver robust C++ library capabilities • Provide technical judgment on library design, architecture, performance, interface design, and maintainability • Contribute to releases, production support, and performance improvements for production analytics •
