About the Role We’re hiring a Data Scientist to support Real Estate & Workplace (REW), a fast-moving global team focused on creating workplaces that help OpenAI’s people do their best work while scaling the company’s real estate and workplace operations. Our work is grounded in understanding how people use space and services, collaborate across physical and digital environments, and experience the workplace. REW’s scope spans portfolio strategy, design and construction, space planning, sustainability, workplace experience, and global operations. You’ll work comfortably across this broad, sometimes messy data landscape and build trusted relationships across the domain. The work informs high-impact decisions with immediate, visible effects—from where teams work and how space and services are allocated to which investments move forward and how workplace experiences evolve. This is a high-ownership Data Science role spanning analytical strategy and hands-on execution. Working at the forefront of AI-native analytics, you’ll help define the future of workplace operations at OpenAI rather than follow an established playbook. You’ll shape REW’s Data Science roadmap, identify where forecasting, experimentation, and optimization can drive impact, and translate business priorities into an analytical plan. You’ll own the stakeholder-facing execution layer—including owning agent-built dashboards, recurring reporting, models, and decision tools—along with analytical requirements, validation, adoption, and measurable business impact. About the Role As Global Transportation Program Sr. Manager, you will own the strategy, expansion, and day-to-day performance of OpenAI’s employee transportation programs. You will make it easier for employees to get to and between our workplaces through reliable, accessible, and cost-effective commuting options. We’re looking for a builder who has launched and scaled employee transportation programs across countries in a fast-growing organization. You will translate our global workplace expansion plans into a transportation roadmap, establishing the systems, vendor partnerships, and operating practices needed to support new markets and growing offices. You’ll balance global consistency with local needs, creating repeatable approaches that enable local teams to deliver reliable service as the company scales. About the Role As Head of Finance - Data Centers, you will be the finance leader for OpenAI’s self-built data center efforts. You will partner with teams across infrastructure, real estate, energy, construction, procurement, and finance to turn proposed sites into sound investment decisions and funded projects. This role spans the full development lifecycle: evaluating opportunities, building investment cases, forecasting capital needs, managing construction budgets, and helping determine how projects should be financed. You will give leadership a clear view of project economics, funding requirements, and risks as we build data center capacity at scale. In this role, you will: Lead financial evaluation of proposed data center and related power infrastructure projects, including site economics, development costs, capacity phasing, lifecycle costs, and key risks. Build and own project-level models and capital expenditure forecasts that connect construction schedules, power delivery, equipment procurement, contingencies, and funding needs. Establish capital budgets and financial controls for active builds. Track commitments, actual spending, change orders, and forecasts to completion; identify cost or schedule risks early. Partner with development, engineering, energy, construction, and procurement leaders on decisions that affect cost, timing, and long-term performance. Work with Treasury, Corporate Finance, Tax, and Legal to evaluate financing options, including project or construction debt, leases, joint ventures, and other partnership structures where appropriate. Prepare investment recommendations and capital approval materials for senior leadership, translating complex project details into clear choices and tradeoffs. The commercial infrastructure legal team supports the systems and facilities that make advanced AI possible, including compute, first-party silicon, colocation, and first-party data center development. About the Role We’re seeking a senior commercial infrastructure lawyer to lead legal work across our rapidly growing data center development and colocation portfolio. You will advise on complex, high-value transactions involving new data center sites, power, construction, colocation, and related infrastructure arrangements. This role is designed for a lawyer who understands how data centers are developed and operated—not a general real estate practitioner. You will work closely with infrastructure, finance, procurement, and operations teams, while coordinating outside counsel where appropriate, to help projects move quickly and responsibly. San Francisco is preferred, and occasional travel may be required. In this role, you will: Lead commercial legal strategy and risk management for data center development and colocation transactions. Draft, negotiate, and advise on colocation agreements, construction agreements, power-related arrangements, and other contracts supporting data center development. Support first-party projects involving raw land, site and power rights, design and construction, EPC models, third-party build-to-suit structures, and leasebacks. Partner cross-functionally with infrastructure, finance, procurement, operations, and other stakeholders on fast-moving, complex projects. About the Role As a Business Operations Partner, Transportation Program, you will help strengthen how the Transportation team works across the company. You will focus on cross-functional coordination, stakeholder support, communication, and operational follow-through. We're looking for people who enjoy solving problems, building relationships, bringing order to ambiguity, and helping teams operate effectively. You will serve as a trusted partner to internal teams, help surface and organize feedback, connect stakeholders to the right resources, and improve visibility across transportation priorities.
