KARNO functionality depends on precision machined components and sub-assemblies held to micron-level form and finish, and this position sits within the Quality function as the interface between Design Engineering, the supply base, Manufacturing, and Quality. The role owns the measurement system end to end: the metrology lab and equipment roadmap, inspection programs and fixtures, the calibration and gage control system, and the measurement standards to which both supplier and internal inspection are held. The position is accountable for the integrity of dimensional data wherever it is generated — at a supplier's machine, at receiving inspection, or in process on Hyliion's floor — and for ensuring that results from those sources agree within defined, documented tolerances. What you’ll do Own day-to-day operations for the scanner program and scanner builds in the spa: purchasing/procurement, vendor management, receiving, inventory, and logistics. Stand up lightweight production operations as we move from prototypes to repeatable builds: build planning, kitting, work instructions, and readiness checklists. Partner with Quality to ensure the operational system supports compliance: traceability, document control, training records, NCR/CAPA workflows, and audit readiness. Drive cross-functional execution for the physical spa build-out and scanner integration: schedules, dependencies, risk register, and weekly coordination with vendors and internal teams. Own the “integration glue” across facilities + device ops: commissioning plans, acceptance criteria, and operational handoff (runbooks, maintenance, spares, escalation paths). Build and track operational metrics: cost, budget, lead times, vendor performance, build throughput, and reliability of critical subsystems. Audit of import/export documentation, management of contract renewals, regulatory compliance. What we’re looking for Proven operations leadership in hardware/medical/robotics (or similarly complex electromechanical products), including procurement and vendor management. Strong program management instincts: can run schedules, unblock cross-functional dependencies, and keep priorities clear under ambiguity. Comfort operating in quality/regulatory environments and building processes that are rigorous without slowing a small team. High ownership and bias to action: can jump between spreadsheets, docks, and the lab/site to keep the program moving. Duties & Responsibilities: • Purchasing and receiving of inventory, tracking and reconciliation of inventory balances, replenishment tasks, put away, cycle counting, return product management, B/O and Days’ Supply monitoring and selection of product and supplies under the direction of the supervisor. • Managing returned goods according to standard operating procedures while also monitoring product trends and shortages to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained. • Ensure pharmacy pick stations are properly stocked with medication and supplies. • Assist in maintaining dispensing and back stock refrigerators in a well organized manner. • Provide Operations Assistants with adequate packing supplies and ensure pack stations are stocked appropriately. • Monitor and pull short dated or expired product from active inventory. • Filing inventory and SOX documentation. • Assists with other duties as assigned and/or any other tasks as assigned by Leadership.
